Tana thought her wedding day would be the start of forever. Instead, it became the day her world fell apart. Standing at the altar, she watched as her mate, the alpha of the Middle Forest, rejected her in front of everyone. He didn’t just break her heart; he chose her stepsister instead. The betrayal cut deep, but the punishment that followed was even worse. Stripped of her title, exiled from her pack, and forced to drink a potion that severed her mate bond, she lost everything including her connection to her wolf, Phoenix. Alone and abandoned, Tana was thrown into the brutal world of rogues, where survival meant blood, pain, and a heart that refused to break. She learned to fight, to endure, to bury the girl she once was. Then she met Jackson. The ruthless Alpha of the HellGuard pack, Jackson was a ghost from her past, the boy who once had feelings for her. But now, he looks at her like a stranger. The potion changed her face, her scent, her everything. He doesn’t recognize her, and she isn’t sure if that’s a blessing or a curse. Fate may have torn her apart once, but this time, she won’t be the one left bleeding. With revenge burning in her veins and two powerful alphas standing in her way, Tana must decide: Will she destroy the mate who betrayed her,or risk everything for the one who might truly see her? Because love is cruel. And fate? Even crueler.

"Hurry up!" I heard my mother yell from outside but all my thoughts were surrounded by the man I love the most - my father, but unfortunately, he wouldn't be able to attend my biggest day and walk me down the aisle like any father would. Wiping the tears that threatened to roll off my cheek, I walked out of the room with a bright smile on my face. I wish he was here, but he wouldn't want me to be sad about him being gone forever. Mother looked at me in awe as I walked down the stairs, and she hugged me tightly before letting go. "You look lovely." She gave out a smile, but I could see the sadness deep within her eyes. "Dad would have said, never let a single tear ruin the happiness of the entire day." She let out a laugh as she wiped it away. "He will be so proud after all, now let's get you married because he begins to communicate from the heavens." "That's impossible!" We both laughed before getting into the car, and we were on the way to the altar. Finally, we arrived at the wedding venue. My heart was racing as I thought about our lovemaking the previous night. I couldn't forget how he brought me to this room, carried me to the bed, and stripped me naked, in the most romantic way ever. The way he grabbed my boobs and pressed them tenderly in his hands was so pleasurable. He made love to me with care after I told him that it was my first time. The memory of the romantic night I had spent with Philip was burned into my mind, a treasured moment I knew I would never forget. Even as I stood at the altar, dressed in my wedding gown, I couldn't stop thinking about how he had made me feel so special, so loved. I remembered the way he had looked at me, the way his hands had felt on my skin and the soft words he had whispered in my ear. It was a night that had changed everything, and I knew I would never be the same. He had made me feel like the most special person in the world and I was eager to say yes I do on the altar. As I stood at the altar, waiting for him to arrive, I noticed something was off. Philip's aura was different, his expression solemn and distant. Gone was the romantic smile that I remembered from the night before, replaced by a fierce look. A shiver ran down my spine as I wondered what could have changed his mood so drastically. Did he regret what had happened between us? Had he only been pretending to care for me the night before? The questions swirled in my head as the priest cleared his throat, bringing me back to the present moment. I took a deep breath, trying to shake off my doubts and focus on the ceremony. "Say your vows" The pastor urged me as I looked into his eyes through the thin layer of veil covering my face. "I take you as my husband. To have and to hold, until death do us part. I give you my hand to be your kin and your love. Loving what I know of you and trusting what I don't yet know, I give you my hand. I give you my love. I give you myself, the good, the bad, and the yet to come." I smiled, but his expression didn't change, what world has he gotten himself into? "Your vows?" The pastor turned to Philip, but he looked him dead in the eyes with no emotion written on his face. "I'm not saying any vows" My body remained frozen as I was driven into shock by his words and I could hear the whispers from the crowd, but my attention was fully on him I opened my veil to look at him, but his face remained emotionless like he didn't just cause a commotion he shouldn't "This must certainly be some joke…" I spoke lowly as I got closer to him, "... Philip, what are you…" "I'm not saying any vows and that's it" He snarled towards me which made me take a few steps back with tears slowly filling my eyes. "She's using the mate bond against him!" I heard Veronica's voice from the crowd as she suddenly began to cry. "What the hell are you talking about?!" I tried to walk to her, but my mother held me back, which made me stop. "Tana knew Philip and I were in a relationship and now she's not only using the mate bond to take away the man I love, she also wants to render my unborn child fatherless!" I looked at my step-sister in disbelief and I looked back at Philip who now looked angry."What the hell is she talking about, Philip? We are mated to one another and just like always, we were meant to get married, why is Veronica…" "This is what I'm talking about. Everyone looked at her. She knew Philip had marked me that's why she is behaving like this" Veronica directs everyone's attention towards me "... She's at it again. Philip has no choice, he loves me, but he would rather not cause her pain with the mate bond. Philip is so kind-hearted yet she chooses to be self-centered about the situation." Veronica fell to the ground and right before my eyes, Philip began to walk down the stairs, but I held him, and he yanked his hands out of mine while looking at me with an angry face. "Don't you dare touch me again" He growled, and I watched him walk toward Veronica My heartbeat increased the more I looked at what was happening, it was more like a dream, but it was happening way too fast for me to understand All this while I had thought we were in love, considering what had happened last night, it was the best night of my life, and he claimed the same, and out of the blue he was in love with Veronica, and they were having a child? "This isn't true, Veronica, tell them the truth!" I snapped at her, but all she did was cry more and more into Philip's arms. "Enough!" Philip snapped, making me jump "... This wedding and everything that is going on in the place is being canceled, everyone go home, there's no more weddings!""Philip you just can't do…" "I said enough." He stood up on his feet and gently picked Veronica into his arms, "... Let's get out of here, sweetheart" "Philip…" "Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Taking a pregnant woman's husband" The crowd began to throw words as tears rolled down my eyes and my mum grabbed my hands before guiding me out. Was this truly the wedding of my dreams?Caroline's POVI looked through the window while I thought about what I saw in his office and after hearing what that last said about the maid, brought a knot in my stomach, and it became even harder for me to handle. I had feared something like this happening, and it seemed I was actually right. That was just so incredible. I had been trying to avoid repeating the past, but had no idea I couldn't avoid everything. What was I supposed to do? I felt so angry at him, and I was expecting him to come by now to explain himself but even after waiting for hours, there was still no sign of him which made me disappointed. And here was thinking about how his reaction would be once he finds out that I was pregnant. Now I didn't even want to know what he would say or how he would react. The excitement I felt over the news died down and all I could focus on was that bitter feeling of being betrayed. It had been so long I felt that way, and I was actually getting used to this happ
Jackson's POV"I got so much news concerning you in just a short while. I can't believe you forgot to include me in your battles," John laughed as he spoke.I chuckled. "they were not to your standards, and I found them boring for you. I know what kind of wars you participate in," I joked. He shook his head. "But you still could've included me. I don't mind fighting a boring war for your sake. As long as I'm fighting in your name, then I have no problem," he said with all seriousness.I nodded at him. He was a good man and I valued him and the friendship he managed to maintain even with the long distance. I was about to reply when I felt something odd.I was feeling pain, but I knew it wasn't mine. It was Caroline, she must be hurt because I felt all the emotions at once. John must've induced it because he immediately turned to me with a frown etched across his face."What's wrong?" He asked.Caroline. I need to get her. I thought inwardly.John was f
Caroline's POV"Luna, is there something I can help you with?" A maid bowed to her as she spoke. I looked at her and waved for her to go."No, you can go now," I waved her off as I took off my training clothes.I noticed her paused behind me but shrugged the feeling it brought off.I turned to check if she was still there, but she wasn't so I continued taking the clothes off and once I was done, I went to my room to take a bath. After the bath, I headed straight to my office. It was almost as if I were repeating every day in the same way.I went through the paperwork but something caught my attention, a sound from outside the room and behind the door. Standing up swiftly, I opened the door to check, only to find a maid picking up broken pieces of a glass."What is going on?" I asked her, and she lifted her gaze to look at me. I noticed she was the maid from earlier, the one that wanted to assist me earlier. She immediately stopped up from the ground and bowed her
Caroline's POVAnother intense training today at the hunting and I couldn't help remember Lauwren how she would have fought until she won. She had a competitive spirit just like me and that's why I liked her. It was difficult to lose her during the fight. I knew it was selfish of me, but I wish she was here with me.I was getting bored every day with her around and to distract myself, I often met with Jackson. He was a good companion, and although he was really busy at some point, he still tried to make time for me, and it made me proud of the man he was.Of course, I had my responsibility but found an easier way of handling them and instead of wasting time with one problem, I think of a way of resolving all the problems at once so there wouldn't be a future problem. Jackson had complimented me on that several times.Stalking back to the pack house, I got into the building and changed my clothes. I took a refreshing bath afterward and went to the office Jackson had p
Jackson's POV"Good morning," I heard a voice from behind me the moment I stepped out of my room. Turning around, I found Bruce taking long strides towards me."Good morning. You're up early, are you that excited about being a beta?" I raised a brow and he chuckled as he walked closer."You woke up early as well. Is that you're also excited about something?" He said with a sneer."What do you mean?" I asked and he raised a brow."Nothing, it's just that I was trying to pass a message to you yesterday but you didn't really sound like you were in the mood but that's by the way. We have a lot to do today," he immediately shrugged."Which is?" I asked and he smiled. "What is funny?""You really don't know about your schedule." He mocked."Well isn't it your job to do that? You're the beta for a reason. So tell me what the plan is today and how long it will take." I drawled as I walked towards the entrance of the building."Well we have a lot to tackle
Caroline's POVAfter going through all the chaos, Jackson and I headed back home feeling quite dissatisfied. However, the simple act of holding each other's hand brought some relief. As we entered the living room, something seemed off about Jackson. His expression changed, as if he were under the influence of some dark force. His intense gaze fixated on my body, scanning me from head to toe, and I couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with him. "Jackson," I called out, but he seemed distant, lost in his world. "What's happening?" I asked, hoping for some answers. Jackson managed to sit down on the couch, but his body trembled a bit, leaving me terrified. "Can you please talk to me?" I mustered the strength to ask. Seeing Jackson behave like this was entirely new and it frightened me."It's the curse…" Jackson's voice faltered, and his words echoed in my ears as I tried to grasp their meaning."But it's not up to three days yet. You've never mentioned anything about
