Chapter 13
I froze as his words sunk in, this was going from bad to worse, not only did Peter want him to take me home but he wanted him to stay there as well, protecting me, even while amongst my friends. I was so consumed by the confusion and anger that was stirring in me that I almost missed the look that passed between Cole and Peter.
“Why? What's happened?” I asked even as I considered that I might not want to know.
“Nothing that you need to worry over for the moment, just a little trouble and I would rather us be safe than sorry.” He stated his face the picture of honesty and I believed him without question. He had been frank with me so far, I had no reason not to trust him now.
