The 9th Circle of Hell

My cage is like a glass box, and I pace, my hands blackened from attempting to break out.

I've had no word from anyone, and Loss is currently in Heaven, trying to break down the gates. Through my pacing, I can see the black flames burning bright, and if I keep looking, I'll go blind.

Lucifer only stepped into my cage once, not saying anything, but looking at me, as if I had secrets he was trying to unravel. I stared back, and then he was back out of the door, hearing the click of a lock sliding back in place.

I have no idea what they're going to do to me. The waiting is what's killing me, and I can feel my stomach sink in like I swallowed stones.

My wings drape behind me, useless, and I continue to pace.

I have no sense of time down here, so I could be here for hours or days, but one day, the door slams open, and Satan steps in, followed by Lucifer behind him. They're giving me cold looks, and shivers run up and down my spine.
