The morning after

My whole body ached as I struggled to awaken. A heated pain pounded in my back, and I moved to my side, aches going in waves throughout my body.

As I opened my eyes, Loss stood near the window, peering outside, body on guard. When he heard me awake, he was by my side, checking me out.

"I feel awful." I rasped out, and he disappeared, before returning with a cup of water. I downed it, feeling a bit more like myself.

The pain in my body didn't lessen, though, and I slowly sat up, feeling my breathing increase. Loss simply stared at me, and though he didn't show it, I felt like he was disappointed in me. I was the Mistress of Hell after all, and here I was complaining about pains I had gotten in a small fight against Amon of all people.

This human skin was no longer of use to me. Hiding myself wasn't an option anymore and if I was going to take back what was mine, I was going to have to reject my human body and accept my demoness existence.
