"It still hurts you isn't it?"

"Badly." Dylan exhaled. On his way to Lydia's, he had seen Louisa and Mason from a distance cheerfully hopping into Mason's jeep. Credit to his gallantry to make sure she was secured in first.

Why did that detail bother him? Because whether he did that or not, she won't come flying in his arms for severe reasons.

"Did Louisa tell you...her brother wishes to help?"
