Chapter 1

Wedding Bells

It was the day everyone was waiting for and the event everyone who was invited couldn't wait to attend. It was a very special day for Sienna's best friend Gemma. Sienna had always dreamt about getting married and starting a family of her own, her friend Gemma had always been in love but she wasn't that lucky because she ha d her heart broken so many times. Sienna was always happy for her when she fell in love and when she fell out of love she was there to console and comfort her because that's what best friends did .

Sienna was well off; came from a wealthy family and she had two loving parents. When her mother died of cancer, Gemma was there for her in every way, and on days when she couldn't be there for her she called her big brother Apollo, who always had an affinity for Sienna ,to keep her company or talk to her, but he was always afraid to make his move on he for his sister's sake.

When Gemma, Apollo, and Toby lost their mother and father in a terrible car accident, Sienna was also there for them in every way. She even asked her father to give Apollo a job at his company in the real estate division because she knew how much Apollo loved building houses.

For Gemma and Toby, she had also asked her father to get them through College ,and that he could also use her trust fund money to get them through because they were like family. The only thing Sienna had asked of her father ,was that he not tell any of the Driton siblings that she was the one behind everything. Sienna always kept her circle of friends small and the true friends she had she could count in one hand .

A week before Gemma's wedding; she met Bradley Rice at a fashion show she had organised for a charity that provides clothing for women and men who need to go for interviews but can't afford the proper attire, so what the charity does is help the people who need new clothes or outfits and see if they need further assistance with anything financially or otherwise.

They hit it off and started going out. Bradley Rice was a model who had all the girls swooning . He had Hazel eyes and a body built like a Greek god and and personality to match. When he asked Sienna out, she took a chance on him and said yes. They got along so well that she had asked him to be her Plus one to her best friend's wedding.

Apollo was excited for his sister. She was finally getting married to a good man after all this time and to top it off he was a proud uncle to his 5-year-old nephew Uri and his 15-year-old niece Aria. They too were also fond of Sienna.

Garrett Husky was a Vet. He owned a practice in town and he had been working there since he was a teen helping his dad out, then when he became a vet he took over. Gemma was his assistant they fell in love with each other resulting in both of them having their five year old son Uri. Aria was Gemma's third boyfriend's child. He had abandoned her when he found out that she was pregnant and Sienna took Gemma in to live with her in her apartment downtown.

It was almost time for the wedding and everybody was getting ready that including the bride and bridesmaid Garrett and Apollo. Garrett didn't have any family and Apollo was the closest thing to a brother that he could ever have, so he asked him to be his best man for the wedding. Apollo came with his girlfriend; Lisa and even though Gemma didn't like her, she tolerated her for sake of her brother. They never saw eye to eye from the word go so she pretended to be happy for him.

The wedding was about to start, and everyone took their seats .Apollo walked in with Garrett Husky. Uri was with his sister all they had to do was wait for their mother.They wee also sitting in the same pew as Toby .

Meanwhile in the bridal room, Gemma and Sienna were having a conversation before the wedding.

Gemma was looking at her reflection on the mirror

she had lost a lot of weight and she looked like a model in a cowl neck gown .

"Friend that ivory white cowl neck wedding dress looks amazing on you ."

"That capped sleeve v-neck bridesmaid gown just brings out your broad shoulders. If Bradley doesn't ask you to marry him soon I don't know what will convince him. "

Sienna shook her head and winced ;

"It's too soon."

Gemma looked at Sienna and smiled. She walked over to her handbag and yanked out what looked like a journal and gave it to Sienna. She took the journal put it in her tote bag and gave Gemma a big hug and she hugged her back.

" You deserved to be loved unconditionally. I know that you were the one who helped pay for my college tuition and helped Tobi out with army school. "

Sienna pulled back about to cry she was swallowing a big lump in her throat because she thought no one knew. She wanted the best for her friend and she didn't mind taking care of her because she took care of her when she was at her lowest.

" How do you know because the only person who knew was my father ,and I had asked him to take some money out of my trust fund I have more than enough to go around ,and if I could use it to help someone or do something for someone to help them go through whatever they're going through I would gladly do it again in a heartbeat."

" I know. I saw it on your desk when you wanted me to do some assignments for school. "

" I remember. I still own that apartment and part of me doesn't want to sell it and I won't because I own the building. It's a reminder that I rebelled against my father and went to chef school. "

" I know and it can be our girl cave when we need to catch up after my honeymoon. I left something for you in your desk drawer. "

Sienna looked down and started twiddling her fingers. She had something to confess ,and Gemma knew her well enough to know that something was up.

" Before we got there I need to tell you about what I also did with regards to Apollo."

"What are you talking about what happened? "

" I did something and I know if Apollo will forgive me. I know he is not big on being given handouts. I didn't see it as a handout I saw it as an opportunity for him to grow and be what he wanted to be and now look at him he's got his own company and he's leaving my father's company. "

" He doesn't know that you're the one who put in a good word for him ? "

" No. I want to tell him the truth. Today is your day and I want it to be special."

" My brother has always had feelings for you. I promised to keep it a secret ,but I feel he is making a mistake with his current girlfriend."

The Church Bells started ringing and when Sienna looked at her wristwatch she knew that it was time for her best friend to get married to the man of her dreams. With everything that had been going on they had little to no time to talk but just before the main event, they had time to talk and exchange gifts. Sienna had given Gemma a diamond-encrusted nomination bracelet link for something new.

" It's time to go change your last name. "

" Let's go. "

When Sienna stood up with Gemma and opened the door they found Lisa Apollo's girlfriend standing outside fuming. She knew that she heard the conversation she was having with Gemma. Her body language and eyes signalled anger but there was no time to entertain what was going on outside the door, so both women walked out to the Isle of the altar while Lisa followed them behind and sat at the back next to Bradley Sienna's new boyfriend.

If premeditated vengeance had a look and a face it would be Lisa. She had bone to pick with Sienna and Gemma but in her head, she had a bone to break with a woman his boyfriend indirectly compared to Sienna Morena.
