Chapter twenty five
"Who's Adriana?" Mrs Contreras asked.
"I'm sorry. Your daughter looks like someone I know." Miranda said, getting a hold of herself.
She led them in and Ema was dropped on the sofa.
"So Ema looks exactly like this girl you are talking about?" Mrs Contreras quizzed further.
"Yes." Miranda answered, "If I didn't know better. I'd say they are identical twins."
"So do you happen to know where this girl is?"
Miranda choked on what she was about to say. It brought too many unpleasant memories but she just had to spill,
"She's dead."
"Oh... How did she die?"
"Now the questions we're getting strange. Why did she want to know so much?" Miranda thought.
"She fell off a cliff."
"That's very sad. I'm sorry for asking but I just feel intrigued that someone could look exactly like my daughter, who was she to you?"

The ambulance made it early to the scene after being called by a good Samaritan who lived close by.Police sirens also screaming loudly into the night.Mrs Romero watched Adriana being carted away in a gurney for treatment as the police questioned her about the accident.She explained to the detail what happened to blame Walter for being reckless.Just then she remembered Walter.She turned to the mangled vehicle to see Firemen trying to get Walter out."Were you also involved in the accident?" "Get my phone!"Miranda yelled to the passageway that Camille disappeared to a minute ago.She discovered Camille wasn't answering. Her son continued to slip away, the quick Revelation that her son might be no more in the matter gave Miranda the distorted memory she lost. She immediately reached into her pocket and brought out her phone before dialing the emergency number as quick as she could.Soon the loud silence is replaced by the loud siren noises.The three minutes were the longest Miranda had ever faced as she watched her son being strapped into the vehicle for treatment."Is he alright?" Nathan flinched feeling a sting in his wrist. He forced his tired lids opened. His eyes burned not used to the light.The first question to pop into his mind was 'where was he?'He sat up and his arm stung again. He turned and ripped away the needle that caused the pain.He could now make out that he was in a hospital but he couldn't make out why.I survived.Nathan remembered being shot. He checked the spot to see the bullet wound.It was odd to just see a scar in place of what was supposed to be a fresh wound.He let his finger linger around the scar wondering why it healed so fast.He got out of his bed trying to stretch and ponder on what was happening.Someone at the left whimpered, like they were in pain.He turned to where the noise came from."Adriana!"He rushed to her bedside.Her face was squeezed and she continued to breathe heavily.It had to be a nightmare."Nathan!"
