The punch came before I even had the chance to lift my head, a low dangerous, inhuman growl came then pain, the sound of bone crashing echoed in the room as Malrik’s body slammed into mine sendimg me flying through the air like I weighed nothing.

My back hit the stone wall with a loud crack, the air tearing from my lungs as I crumpled to the ground, coughing hardly, my vision becoming blurry.
