I wanted to be upset. I planned on using the angry energy I had to work under pressure of Monday mornings, but it looks like Carter had other plans in mind.

The elevator stopped and we ended up in a fancy huge room with a few couches and a bar area. There was a huge window that overlooked the inside of the restaurant where the guests were. I wondered if this is where they went when they were tired. I turned into Carter's arms, and he took my lips into his. This kiss was hot and heavy. I had almost forgotten I was upset. Almost. I pushed back.

"Carter, we have to work", I sighed against him. He lifted my head up.
