My brothers and I have spent the past few days in either meetings about the pack or looking for the book Emmett told us about. So far, the meetings have gone well. As for the book? No luck.

This coming full moon in a week's time, all three of us plan to travel back to Bloodstone for the celebration then next month, we’ll combine the two packs and celebrate together and hopefully members from both will find mates.

  • Their Ice Luna   Chapter 15 - Hunt

My brothers and I have spent the past few days in either meetings about the pack or looking for the book Emmett told us about. So far, the meetings have gone well. As for the book? No luck. This coming full moon in a week's time, all three of us plan to travel back to Bloodstone for the celebration then next month, we’ll combine the two packs and celebrate together and hopefully members from both will find mates. If it weren’t for inviting Alpha Keene from the Nightshade pack and his members to have a party and see if any of our people were mates, I’d stay here.I’m a little sad to be leaving for this full moon. I’ve been ready for a mate for a while now and am really looking forward to meeting her but I keep reminding myself that if she really is here, then I can wait one more month. What’s a month in the face of our whole lives?I’ve met most of the women in the pack but I haven’t really felt much of a connection to any of them and that worries me. I know the mate bond doesn’t click

“Mates?” I croak, then clear my throat. “I uh… guess that’ll be good for some people.”She cocks her head, eyeing me warily. “You don’t sound too excited about that.”I scoff. “Why should I be? Even if I did find a mate, they’d just reject me on the spot anyway.” I level her with a look as I cross my arms across my chest. “We’ve talked about this before. You know a mate just isn’t for me.”I’ve been dreading the idea of a mate since I learned what they are and I realized how my pack looked at me. I know whoever is unlucky enough to be tied to me will reject me without a second thought to our bond. I’ve been lucky so far, remaining mateless, but I know it’s only a matter of time before I’m faced with the heart breaking pain of a mate bond breaking.Nina’s face falls and I hate the look of pity on it. “Alanna,” she says softly. “You don’t know that. They say the mate bond is really strong. I’m sure your mate will at least give you a chance.”I shake my head. “I don’t want someone to onl

  • Their Ice Luna   Chapter 13 - Alanna

It’s been three days since the tournament and I’ve managed to avoid everyone, even the triplet alphas, and it feels like nothing short of a miracle. I’ve had a few mindlinks from Kace regarding pack business and my new training level but that’s about it.Top tier level. Color me shocked.I already knew I’d be placed on the highest team with my performance against Derrick. I’ve always been a good fighter, taking to it naturally the moment I was finally allowed to begin training. I’ll never be the strongest but my smaller human stature and speed make me a tough opponent. Then there’s my wolf which the triplets haven’t even seen yet. She’s a bloodthirsty girl who refuses to quit. We may have ice shooting from us without permission but we’ve got fiery personalities. As for the pack business, training is set to begin tomorrow and I’m dreading it. While I’ve been feeling better since my little explosion in the forest, I’m still on edge just endlessly worrying about what to expect when I set

A pure white wolf with thick fur. I’ve never in my almost thirty years of life seen a wolf described like that. I’m used to dark haired wolves with fur made to survive the excessive heat with glowing dark eyes. The lightest wolf I’ve ever seen is a sandy brown or gray.“That’s not all,” Kace says. “Remember when we had that rare week of snow a few years ago?” We all nod. “Well, Alanna stayed in wolf form every single day and her wolf refused to leave the outdoors. She played and laid in the snow until it eventually melted.”I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around all this new information. Nothing regarding the northerners has been spoken of in hundreds of years and now we’re finding out we might have one in the pack.“Do you think she was sent here as a spy?” Hunt asks.“Absolutely not,” insists Kace, shaking his head in denial. “No way. Alanna has no idea where she came from and if anything, she despises how she looks. She hates being different.”I think of Alanna with her lon

I watch as silver white hair disappears from my sight and escapes into the forest. My brothers and I are still standing, our auras raging around us, while the stands are dead silent. Some have the decency to look embarrassed while others look like they’re relieved Alanna left.I don’t know what all this talk about her being cursed is about but I feel a strong need to find out.I open a mindlink with Kace, who is still standing with his eyes locked on the trees where Alanna just disappeared, and say, “Meeting at the packhouse first thing tomorrow morning.”There’s defeat in his voice as he replies, “Yes alpha.”I turn to my brothers and say, “We have a meeting with Kace tomorrow.”They both respond with nods and I know they’re just as curious as I am. Something weird is going on with this pack and I’m going to get to the bottom of it. I’ve never seen an entire pack, besides two people, hate another member so much. There’s something going on here and I don’t like it one bit. What Alanna

  • Their Ice Luna   Chapter 10 - Alanna

I walk out of the training grounds and don’t look back. The only reason I didn’t stick my middle finger up for everyone to see is because of the solid ice on the inside of my gloves. While I was fighting, the pain barely registered but now as all that adrenaline leaves my body, I can feel the little cuts the ice made to my skin. When my emotions got too high during that fight, the ice would grow then break again every time I moved my hands. It hurt. Goddess did it hurt. But at least I didn’t turn my opponent into a block of ice no matter how much Derrick might deserve it.I can’t control what is happening to me. I don’t know what to do. Werewolves don’t have special powers and they definitely don’t have ice forming from just their hands in the sweltering heat. The crowd calling me a freak might not be too far off.I’m exhausted. I’m stressed. And I’m really starting to wonder if I’m having an early life crisis. That’s a thing, right?I’m just about to exit the grounds when I hear my
