Chapter 4

“Raze is making the food now but said we don’t have any ice cream,” Lucian said hanging up his phone. “I will head to the store and get some once I know what kind to get everyone.”

“Whoa there Little One, who all do you have with you?” Asher asked as the spitting clone of Jasmine walked into the living room.

“Gumby Bear, Pichu, Twhywhite Spakle, Spite,” she said nervously.

“Dude, I love Pikachu and Grumpy Bear,” Asher smiled hugely. “I don’t know the other ones sorry, but I think it’s cool you have a dragon.”

“That Spite,” She smiled shyly.

“That’s Twilight Sparkle’s little dragon buddy Spike,” Jasmine smiled as she came into the room with a couple of backpacks. “I just need to get the meds from the kitchen, and I think we have everything for the night. Clothes, toothbrushes, brushes, her blanket…” She trailed off thinking. “Oh, I need to get her favorite cup also. Sweetie, why don’t you give me all your buddies and go get a couple of your movies? Daemon, Asher, and Lucian don’t have your movies at their place.”

“Otay Mommy,” she said placing her stuff animals on the couch.

“What kind of ice cream do you want?” Lucian asked. “I’m heading to the store to get some while Raze is cooking.”

“We both like chocolate chip cookie dough,” she said softly. “We really appreciate it.”

“Don’t forget that packet,” Daemon said as he got up off the couch, “You need to see what he gave you. Also, do you want to grab that bracelet that’s important to you?”

“I already grabbed it,” Jasmine smiled softly holding up her wrist to show that it was on, “but I did forget the packet.” She grabbed it and tossed it into her purse then headed to the kitchen and grabbed a couple of prescription bottles and some over the counter medicines.

“Do you really need all that stuff?” Asher asked as he followed her.

“When it comes to kids it’s better to be safe than sorry,” she said as she grabbed the Pikachu cup and filled it up with some apple juice then screwed on the lid.

“Mommy help!” Jasmine rushed into the living room and started laughing.

“Whoa, Lilly, we don’t need to bring every movie,” Jasmine chuckled seeing her daughter’s arms filled with DVDs that were threatening to overflow.

“But Mommy,” Lilly pouted as Jasmine started taking the movies from her daughter. “I need all.”

“We are only staying one night Sweetie and it’s already super late,” Jasmine forced back a smile. “Let’s just grab a couple of them, okay?”

“But Mommy, they no see all movies,” Lilly pouted, and Jasmine heard the guys chuckle.

“Okay,” she smiled, “How about you ask Daemon, Lucian, and Asher to go through the movies and see what ones they would like to watch with you, and you can bring those for tonight?”

“Otay,” Lilly smiled. “What mobie want watch wif me?”

“Let’s see what you have Little One,” Asher said as he and Lucian got on the floor with her.

Jasmine watched shocked and Daemon looked at her confused, “What is it?” he asked softly.

“I just honestly didn’t think you would watch a movie with her,” She whispered honestly. “You already shocked me with the offer to cook due to her allergies and then go get ice cream and now this…it’s just shocking that’s all.”  

Daemon looked at her shocked, “Why wouldn’t we do that?”

“Because it’s a lot of extra stuff on top of having us stay with you because I have a crazy stalker and jerk of an ex. It’s just a lot to take on for one night,” She tried to explain.

“No, it’s not,” He shook his head. “You are important to me and besides we really actually are like kids ourselves so watching kid movies is no big deal. Raze and Asher love Pokémon so they are going to love watching them with your little one. Why didn’t you tell me you had a kid anyway?”

“Oh yeah, the Pokémon movie and first season box set!” Asher said excitedly, “We HAVE to bring these, okay Little One? We have to watch these!” Lilly giggled while Daemon chuckled.

“See?” Daemon asked, “Now why hide her from me?”

She scoffed, “Most men don’t like being friends or employing women that have children.”

“Hey,” He made her turn to face him, “we aren’t like most men. It’s not an issue for us one bit, okay? Now go make sure you have everything so we can get home and get you fed and in bed.”  

“Okay,” She nodded softly.

“Hey,” Daemon said and when she looked at him, he pulled her into a hug, “It’ll be okay.”
