Another Letter Written

Two days later in the wee hours of the morning Elizabeth laid on her mother’s bare chest as she read over the letter once more “Dear Phillip, I hope this letter finds you well. I’ve moved to Maine, but that is not what you are receiving this letter. If you’ve read my other letters you would know that I was with child. Phillip, we have a beautiful, healthy daughter, Elizabeth Louisa Hollingsworth Bennett was born at home with no assistance at 2:55 am on October 30th, 1915. When Elizabeth was born she weighed four pounds, six ounces and her length was twenty one inches long. I've enclosed a drawing of her, but if you would like pictures or to meet her then that can be arranged. I wrote to you many months ago that I was pregnant with no response. I wrote to you again to inform you that Sadie and Paul Carson have agreed to raise our daughter, yet again with no response. She needs both of her parents and this is what is best for her.
