Chapter 17

"Hello, Haven't seen you for a long time. How are you doing? Lisa."

Joseph was standing in front of her desk at the office, looking at Lisa with the smile showed he had got his way. Lisa felt shocked and totally disorientated by his unexpected arrival. They had agreed to keep a secret about their relationship until it was the right time. Lisa gave him a challenging look and stood up. Before she could say anything, Joseph walked pass her desk and went to Charles's office, Lisa took a few deep breaths to steady her nerves and went back on working.

Joseph's visit would provide some juicy gossip in the tea room for a few days. Lisa pretended she wasn't interested but the expression on her face was a dead giveaway. Psychologist would say that women made better liars because they were psychologically more sophisticated, they made plans and have strategies whereas men were more impulsive. The biggest difference, however, was that women were much better at keeping their affairs a secret.
