Ethan Ring hurriedly steps off of his car after he parked it in the lot. He already purchased a condominium unit right after he decided to live in the city.

He looked around and sighs. It's a good type of sigh. He's been excited and looking forward to this for the past months. He had also purchase kitchen sets, sofa sets, and bedroom sets for his condominium. He's wealthy!

As he walked inside the building, holding the keys into his unit, he entered an elevator and pushed the button for the elevator door to close. He looked at himself in the reflection in the elevator, and he smiled to himself. This is really the start for me, Ethan thought.

As he's near his unit, located on the 15th floor, the elevator stopped and opened on the 12th. There's a boy, or rather, a man entering the elevator who dresses well and looks handsomely. The man smiled at Ethan, and he did not.

The elevator closed again and opened up when it is already on the next floor.

"Bye!" the man said in the elevator. "Yeah. See you."

Ethan is a type of person that does not really want to socialize. He's a snob, but he's kind.

He's now in front of his unit, at the end of the hall, with all the things he needed already set. You see, Ethan is rich. But he did not have the chance to go into a university because it is far away from them; he's far away from his family. He's still a boy back then. But now? He's a man.

He immediately opened the front door to his unit. He chose the penthouse, only proving how rich he is. He immediately went to the counter, where it was already stocked with all the food and drinks he needed. He grabbed one drink and brought it to the sofa, and placed it on the glass table.

He pulled out his wallet, and there he reads his identification card for the university, "Ethan Ring, 23 years old, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I'm just a little late in college, and I can get through this."

He gazed his eyes into his very own penthouse; there, a mounted TV on the wall, plants below it, and some speaker components he never know how to operate. He gazed into the window panes where it shows the city, its lights, and all the people walking around, and vehicles trying to take a lane from one another.

"It's a busy street," he said. "This is what I imagine living in the city looks like."

He opened the drink, took a sip, and then closed it back and observed his penthouse. He walked up and then passes through the dining table, and next to it was a division for workout equipment. He passed through that, and then, he went into his very own jacuzzi and a separate pool at that, facing the window panes, seeing the city. Discussing how much he spends on that? Lots of zeros. He bought it, cheque.

Then he went to the opposite side of that, and he sees his own entertainment room. There's a billiard, and there are other board games that he does not know how to play.

He touches everything that he passes through. Then he went back to the kitchen and climb up the stairs beside it. He then opened a bedroom, and there it shows a master bedroom, and there he saw himself in a mirror.

He took a great moment to see himself. He's tall. Probably 5'7. He dresses well even though he grew up in the province. He has a pointed nose, fair skin, flawless, and he's handsome. Ethan Ring is handsome. He brushes his hair and proceeded to sit on the bed. Then, he pulled out his phone and decided to call his family.

The phone rings, and then, "Hi, Dad," Ethan said.

"How are you doing there, Ethan? It seems like you have already arrived at your place," Ethan's dad said.

"I just arrived, maybe 30 minutes ago. How's mom and Minty? I bet they have already gotten over the fact that I am now here and they have now stopped crying," Ethan chuckled.

"Nah. Your mom is still crying. Minty can't get over the fact that she is now in charge of taking care of the sheep, chicken, and our horses," his dad said, "I'll miss you, son. We are gonna miss you."

"Dad, don't worry, I am gonna call you each time I go to bed. I'll update you when I wake up in the morning so that you do not have to worry about me."

"Okay, Ethan. You have to make friends there, okay? There is not gonna be animals and farm right there, and they're your only friend," his dad and Ethan laughed, "you gotta make friends, bud. You have to find a companion there."

"Yes, dad. I will," Ethan said, "I think I need to hang up now; I still need to prepare for tomorrow's orientation."

"Okay, son. Take care. We love you."

"I love you too, Dad. Tell mom and Minty for me. Bye." Then he hangs up.

Ethan is family-oriented. He values his family more than anything. Yes, he does not have any friends, aside from Minty, his sister; he's aloof, an introvert. And now that he's doing something for himself, finally stepping up to make a change, he's glad that they supported him. He needed support.

It is already getting late, and so he took off his clothes and changed into something comfortable. His things were already here right after he signed his ownership contract. He jumped directly into his bed and clapped twice for the lights to turn off.

Then he drifted to sleep.

The alarm went off. It's already morning, and he stretched his arms and turned off the alarm.

He went downstairs and has chosen to use the coffee maker. He also cracked some eggs and chose to cook it sunny-side up. He's living such a luxurious and privileged life.

He sat down on the table, and then he ate his breakfast there. He's looking at the city, and the sunset is still approaching. It is still 5 AM. He slowly sips his coffee, not minding how lonely he is in this grand penthouse. He took a bite of the sunny side-up egg while watching the people crossing the street. Some are already going to work, some are still making their way into their home, and some wake up early to buy groceries.

Ethan decided to exercise and hop on the treadmill. He turned the power on, and then he slowly jogs, and then faster, and much faster, his sweat dripping in his chest and into the treadmill. He set an alarm for 30 minutes of exercise, and now the alarm went off, and it's now time to take a bath.

He took a shower, and he could not get the chance to immerse himself in the bathtub. Maybe later, he thought.

Then he went into his walk-in closet and decided to wear some polo shirt with stripes only at the middle, pale blue jeans, a sock, and a white sneaker. Then he decided to use one of his backpacks.

He decided not to take his car today, and he wants to experience riding a taxi in a city. At that moment, he hopped on into the taxi, "Take me to Meadows University," and paid it cash.

Later on, he saw the university that he decided to enroll in. It has a dorm, but he just decided to live in the center of the city to feel alive and not be surrounded with all he can remember as a place full of workload. Then, he opened his backpack and took out the paper that has the brochure all about the university. He, then, focused his eyes on the schedule of the orientation imprinted on it.

"Main Hall, Building Crease," Ethan mumbled. He started walking with his heads down, still looking at that piece of paper. Then someone bumped him, and made him fall to his ass.

His white sneaker and its pale blue jeans has been dirtied, full of mud. He was near the plants when he fell, and that resulted to his clothes getting dirty. Ethan looked at the one who bumped him. He seems familiar, he thought.

"I am so sorry, I am hurrying up because I still have to attend the orientation. I'm probably late," the man said. Ethan did not bother to listen, he just rolled his eyes on him. He's pissed. He did not imagine his first day, even an orientation to be like this.

"I do not care, man. Just go." The man did, still apologizing.

Ethan picked up his brochure, and decided to search for some place, "Comfort Room, there it is."

Everyone's looking at him. He got his palms dirty, he got his pants dirty, and he got his mind occupied to how embarrassing it is, and how familiar that man is. He arrived at the comfort room, not minding that he's now late on his first day of orientation.

There's a man standing, washing his hands. He looked at Ethan. Ethan looked at him and tilt his head down because of embarrassment. "Do you need help?" the man asked. "I have a spare pants," he added. Ethan looked at him.

"Can you lend it to me? I can just pay you," Ethan suggested.

"No, I can just lend it to you. Then return it anytime," the man smiled. He's kind, but kind of snob, Ethan thought.

"Just wait here, I'll get it," the man said.

And Ethan waited. 10 minutes passed by and the man still did not arrive. He's thinking maybe it's just one of those pranks that makes them wait and will not come back. 5 more minutes passed. He's late now.

The door opened. "I am sorry, I just ran through 3 buildings to go into my locker," the man said.

"Yeah, it's okay. Thanks for this. Where can I return it?" Ethan asked.

"Return it when you see me," the guy smiled. "I'll go now, I'll be late. You should change."

The guy walked out. Ethan realized that he did not event ask any information in relation to that guy, his name.

He walked into one of the cubicles, undress his dirty pants, and wear the one that the guy lends. As he put on the pants, and zip it, he said,

"That guy that bumped me, it's the one from the elevator."
