Jerry’s hand shivered as he saw the tentacles in Jack’s heart disintegrate, at the cost of Jack’s heart also being affected.

The last thing he would have expected was Jack actually blocking the blow and taking it himself… wasn’t he with Jean? How? Oh, he had stimulated their Beast mark after all.

Jerry stared at Jack in his arms with a hole in his heart area. He dared not look inside as he was sure flowers were birthing and perishing in it. Melissa gasped and huffed as she grasped at her shoulder, her right arm completely missing.

It was a continuous spell, which meant that as long as Jerry was still alive her hand would keep on being disintegrated even if she tried to regenerate it.
