Chapter 06: Transmigrated

The moon had already risen into the dark evening sky with the sun nowhere to be found.

The once bustling streets of Florence became quiet, with the streetlights illuminating the darkness.

The lights in every residences were already turned off which was the same in Naomi's residence.

The door and windows of Naomi's room were closed and the heavy curtains were dropped to cover the windows. The atmosphere was warm.

The room was quiet that the sound of Naomi's steady breathing could be heard.

Her dream was nothing out of sort. What was happening in her dream was something she always wanted to experience in real life.

Suddenly, the air enveloping the whole room became chilly which caused Naomi to frown due to the sudden coldness and grabbed the duvet tightly and draw it closer to her.

At the same time, something bizarre is in her dreams. Compared to the usual vibrant dreams she would have, her dream this time was the complete opposite as the surroundings were pitch black. The dull silence is deafening her ears and was accompanied by the chilly breeze that brushes past her skin, making her hairs stood on its end.

The only illuminated area of the surroundings was the place she was standing. Her eyes keep moving in different directions in the darkness while being vigilant.

'What is this place?'

The more she look at the darkness, the more she felt fear as if someone hidden in the dark was watching her intently.

Several minutes have passed and there was still no changes.

Beads of sweat dropped down from her forehead as she felt fear. Naomi badly wanted to wake up in this dream of hers as it was simply a torture for her, both mentally and emotionally.

'I think I'm going to go crazy if this setup continues.'

Suddenly, there was a change.

A suction-like force entered the scene and she felt as if her soul was being forcibly sucked out of her. The feeling was both uncomfortable and unpleasant.

She wanted to move and resist but an invisible force kept her from doing so. She continued to struggle, trying to break free from that invisible force that was pinning her to remain in her position.

After a while of struggle, the invisible force was gone and everything became normal once again.

Naomi, who had put up quite a struggle, breathed quickly, as if out of air, and beads of sweat came tricking down from her forehead.

The darkness slowly disappeared and the scene changed, returning to what it was. Seeing the changes, Naomi didn't feel happy. To her, the experience she had felt real.

It was a nightmare.

————

As Naomi woke up, she felt an aching sensation as well as numbness spreading throughout her whole body.

Feeling the pain, the nightmare she had came into her mind. She thought that the pain should be caused by the nightmare she had.

She laid down for a while, feeling the pain and numbness spreading throughout her body, while keeping her eyes shut and her mind drifting away into different thoughts.

She moved her right hand for a while and felt something was wrong.

Opening her eyes, what greeted her was not the luxurious ceiling with a chandelier but instead a ceiling with crystals embedded on it.

She sat up and looked at what she was lying on earlier. Instead of the soft, warm bed covered with a duvet, it was a stone bed that was of the same height as her when lying down.

No wonder she felt an aching sensation earlier.

She looked at the place she was in and noticed that the walls were covered with crystal clear glass shards wherein she can fully see herself.

She was clad in snowy white clothes, so white that not even a single speck of dirt could be spotted. Aside from the clothes she was currently wearing, something caught her attention.

The face she expected to see was there and at the same time, gone.

The face she saw had 80% similar appearance to her but instead of the

Her almond eyes with deep black pupil and chestnut iris was gone and what she saw was a pair of phoenix eyes with brown pupil and gray iris. Her hair, which was supposed to be hazel brown, became more eye-catching than her previous hair color as it became silver.

But the same aura still remained. Only, it was much more domineering than before. Her current appearance looked more mature as well.

She was amused by the face, her current face, and became lost in thoughts.

'Is this really me?'

Suddenly, she remembered that she was in an unknown place and panicked.

She jumped down the stone bed and walked back and forth while lost in her thoughts.

A conclusion came into her mind as she thought about how she appeared and woke up in an unknown place.

'Could it be... I transmigrated?'

Startled by this sudden conclusion, she hurriedly reached out to feel her clothes, trying to look for something.

Feeling with her hands that there was nothing with her, she continued to repeat the same action.

'There should be something hidden in these clothes.'

Still, there was nothing.

She couldn't find a single thing on her clothes. There was nothing with her! Not even a single thing!

She thought about the female lead of the story she had just read who transmigrated who had some stuff that helped her like her knowledge in medicine or like a space storage that's not accessible as well as visible to everyone but her.

'I don't have anything with me. I'm not even good at medicine. In fact, I don't know what I even good at!'

Naomi was on the verge of breaking down because of her current situation.

'Why did that female lead have some things with her while I don't? Bring me back at my room, my home! This transmigration is definitely wrong!'
