Naomi crouched while hugging her knees, staring into the crystal clear glass shards with an emotionless face.
Some crystal shards were scattered in the floor. Naomi picked a few and then threw it into the wall while still crouching.
'What should I do?'
Thinking of the circumstances she was in, Naomi wanted nothing more than to weep.
'I never wanted to be transmigrated in an unknown world! If I did, atleast give me something that can help me!'
Naomi was sullen and continued to pick and throw crystal shards as she remained silent and went deep into thoughts. Only the sound of crystal shards being thrown could be heard.
This scenario continued for a while.
Heaving a sigh, Naomi stopped and stood up, shaking the dirt off her snowy white clothes.
"I can't keep staying here and do nothing." She muttered to herself.
'Okay. I need to get out of here.'
She stared at the surroundings once again until her eyes settled on the crystal shards scattered on the floor.
Suddenly, an idea came into her mind.
'What if... I sell these?'
She picked some crystal shards as she stared at them with excitement.
The crystal shards were just like their name, they were crystal clear and were stunning as they look like they are of high quality.
It was a good thing that the clothes Naomi was wearing had some pockets that she was able to bring some crystal shards with her.
"It would be a pity if I can't bring some of these crystal shards. It should fetch me a desirable amount if I was to sell these." She muttered to herself.
Giggling while looking at the crystal shards she had picked up, she continued to pick a few of those crystal shards and stuffed them into her pockets.
It took her a while to finish collecting some and stuffing them into her pockets. She only stopped when she saw that her pockets had become bloated.
Full of satisfaction, she smiled, "Alright. These should be enough for me to sell."
Glancing once again at the surroundings where she had woken up, she felt a little hesitant about whether she should leave the place or not.
Of course, although she was elated while picking up the crystal shards and thinking about how much money she could fetch with it, there was still a bigger problem present and that was having no knowledge at the world she transmigrated to.
"Whatever. Staying here won't do me any good."
If she decided to stay, before she could get a glimpse of the world outside this place, she would die of starvation.
Aside from the stone bed and crystal shards, there was nothing else there, ah!
Having made her decision to go out, she walked in the direction where a path towards the unknown lies.
'This should be the exit.'
The way towards the exit was very long and isn't very wide. Just like the room she was in before, there were also crystals in the wall as well. Thanks to the crystals glowing, Naomi was able to walk properly and not stumble into any obstacles on the way.
It was too silent that Naomi's footsteps could be heard.
While walking, she caught sight of a dim light that wasn't a product of the crystals glowing but light which was obviously coming from the outside.
Seeing this, her face brightened.
'The exit!'
She began to walk fastly towards the direction where the light came from and as she take a few steps, the dim light become brighter and brighter.
Finally, the light enveloped her whole body and she saw the scenery outside.
It was a forest.
Yep, she woke up in a place that was situated in a forest.
Naomi didn't know whether to laugh or cry after knowing that she was transmigrated into an unknown world and for all of the place she could be sent to, she was sent in a forest.
A FOREST!!!
She also felt irritated at the body her soul was sent to occupy.
'Why is this body in the forest?!'
Aside from the forest being full of lush greenery and tall trees on which some bears fruit and some don't, the forest could be said to be one of the dangerous places you could be at.
Who doesn't know about the danger contained in the forest? A lot of wild animals lives here, ah!
Once again, Naomi wanted to weep.
'Oh, man. What a bad luck.'
Suddenly, a strong wind came, blowing some strands of her silver hair into her face on which she found annoying.
The wind passed by and the leaves rustled as a form of response of acknowledging its presence.
Although being not clearly seen as the tall trees together with its leaves and branches almost covered the sky, the sun had risen up above the sky and illuminated the forest underneath it.
The forest wasn't silent at all as the chirping of the birds could be heard from the sky.
Although she considered the forest to be a dangerous place where she could be, luckily for her, she spotted no animals that could pose a threat to her. Also, she spotted some fruits as well that she could pick and eat at the present.
With this, she sighed although there are still some questions in her mind that needed some solutions.
Although the transmigration that happened to her felt unreal, it was still the reality.
Maybe among those who transmigrated into another world, she could be considered as someone with a bad luck.
The forest looked just like one of those portrayed in fairy tales where they are full of lush greenery and wild flowers growing in random places of the forest, the chirping of the birds which was making the forest be full of vibrant.
Despite that, facing the unknown would be the scariest thing of all.
There were countless questions and thoughts mixed up together in Naomi's mind as she stared into the distance. But only a few of them needed to be answered quickly.
Where would she go?
What is she going to do?
Would she last long in this unknown world?
How would her life turn out to be?
The dead branches and leaves that had fallen into the ground created a crisp sound as someone walked and happened to step on them.As Naomi walked forward, she kept looking around the area she passed by. Whether she walked into the right path that can lead her out of the forest, she wasn't sure about it herself. When she went out of the place she came from, on which she knew that it was a huge cave when she glanced at it from the outside, she just started to walk in the opposite direction of the cave and continued to walk forward. There was once a time where she thought that she had gone far away from the cave but when she looked back, she could still see the opening of the cave.Naomi continued to walk forward, venturing deeper into the forest. Looking around, she noticed that aside from the lush greenery and herself, the only beings that accompanied her were birds chirping as they fly away into the sky or stop by in some trees and there was still
The big black wolf fell into the ground as a silver arrow pierced its back where scarlet red blood oozed. It laid into the ground without making any moves.Naomi was still frightened with the sudden appearance of the big black wolf and how it attempted to kill her, its eyes appeared as if it can't wait to eat its food. She stood still, looking at the big black wolf, who was lying in the ground with its own pool of blood, with a frightened expression. She couldn't help but think, 'What if it succeeded?' Naomi couldn't continue to venture deeper in that thought."Are you okay?"The sound of the dead branches and fallen leaves being stepped upon sounded on which reached Naomi's ears.Naomi, with the same frightened expression she displayed on her face when she saw the wolf was going to pounce on her, looked up only to see a young man, who doesn't look like to be much older than her, approaching her.He was tall but fairly skinny. His loo
"So, how do beasts improve their cultivation?" Naomi asked. As Lucas patiently explained things regarding beasts and cultivation, Naomi listened attentively."Just like us, they gather the spiritual energy in the surroundings and absorb them. It may sound easy but doing it is pretty hard. Some beasts and people, commonly those with poor innate talent, even took several years just to take their first step in the cultivation realm. Things with spiritual energy should help them as well."'That should be hard...' Naomi thought.A cold glint flashed through Lucas' eyes. It was gone in a blink of an eye that no one would be able to notice it."There is a much more easier way for humans and beasts to improve their cultivation." Lucas said.Naomi became curious, "what is it?""The wolf's beast core I showed you earlier was silver, wasn't it?"Naomi nodded."Some humans and beasts would kill other beasts who are of higher c
Occasionally raising her head to look at the sky, Naomi saw how the smoke up in the sky was getting larger than it was from when she first saw it as she was getting near the smoke's direction.Lucas was also following behind her. It was a good thing that Naomi wasn't a fast runner that he was able to cope up with her speed without making much of an effort. As they were in a forest, when Naomi was rushing forward, there were countless trees in her path although their leaves weren't really covering the sky which helped Naomi rush forward easily."Just a few steps and we'll be out of this forest!" Naomi said.Lucas couldn't help but shake his head with her attitude.Stepping into the wide dirt road, Naomi found herself to be finally out of the forest. She heaved a sigh as a slight smile appeared on her face. Lucas stood besides her and felt relieved to be finally out of that forest."Look!"Lucas turned to lo
The chilly breeze passed by the forest, making the leaves of the trees sway in response. The sun that was up above the sky was nowhere to be found. It was evening. The surroundings was still quiet but compared to the silence earlier morning until afternoon, it was much more quieter after the sun had set.Aside from the noise coming from the bonfire, it was too quiet that Naomi had become scared. Adding to the fact that they're in the middle of nowhere where aside from them, there weren't any people around that can be seen. This fact even made her become more scared. Not even her nor her two companions were speaking.Yes, two. There are three of them currently present."Good. It's finally cooked." The sound of Lucas' voice reached her ears.It was only then that Naomi smelled the rich aroma of the grilled fish Lucas had cooked. The fish could be said to be medium-sized. She was too occupied with fear that she fa
"Are you sure?" Naomi turned to look at Lisa with surprise visible on her face. Lisa nodded. Seeing her nod, Naomi was about to burst with excitement. "But it would take a long time." Lisa added. The excitement vanished and Naomi was like a deflated balloon as she stared at Lisa with disappointment. The latter just shrugged. Naomi went to look at the bonfire and staring at the skewered grilled fish as she raised her hand, her hunger was once again agitated. She carefully took a bits of the skewered grilled fish and as soon as she came into contact with the fish, there was only one word to describe it: DELICIOUS. Not only the appearance of the grilled fish but the taste is just too hard to resist! After swallowing the first bite, she went on to take another bite again and again as she eat the fish with delish. Her previous disappointment was gone in an instant and was replaced with the t
Labyrinth Forest wasn't that far from the Kingdom of Arkin but neither was it also near as it took them five days to enter the area of the Kingdom of Arkin. The brother-sister pair continuously switched places. At the start of their trip, it was Lucas who was out in the sun, riding the horse, leading them towards the direction where the Kingdom of Arkin was. The next day, it was Lisa who was outside while Lucas would be inside the carriage, chatting together with Naomi. They weren't as silent as before when they are together and everytime one of them started a conversation, it would continue for a while. While chatting with each other, Naomi had realized that aside from Lisa, Lucas was also knowledgeable as well. They would journey in the day and find a place to temporarily settle themselves when it's going to be nighttime. The only time Lucas and Lisa settled while the sky was up high was when they were in the Labyrinth Forest.Naomi ha
Compared to the silent and devoid of people Labyrinth Forest, the Kingdom of Arkin was bustling with many kinds of activities and a lot of people were coming back and forth.Different stalls and stores could be seen in any place when you're in the Kingdom of Arkin. Even the corners of certain places which are usually deserted on other places have some stalls and shops and a lot of people are there to take a look as well.A carriage was passing in the main road and due to the vast number of people walking in the main road, the speed of the carriage was slow, almost like a turtle's speed. Some people even have to step sideways in order for the carriage to pass.Since there were a huge crowd of people in the main road, Naomi didn't peek outside and the curtain beside her had been pulled down. Who knows what will happen to her?"We're passing so slowly." Naomi grumbled.L
