Relax

When Matteo walked inside the villa, he found Hera sleeping on the couch. The tv is still running, and she is sleeping soundly. He approached her, but he couldn't allow himself to touch her. He just killed a man, and he couldn't taint her innocence. So he retreated his steps. He went inside their room and quickly stripped. He disposed of his bloody clothes in a trash bag and tied them close so that she wouldn't find them. Quickly he took a shower and dressed in his sweat shorts. He went down to the living area, turned the tv off, and carried Hera into their room.

When he was about to lay her down on the mattress, she stirred.

"Matt" she mumbled sleepily.

He smiled. She knows who is touching her even though her eyes are closed.

"Shh. Sleep" he murmured softly.

She replied something incoherent, which he didn't catch. She slipped back into sleep again. But he couldn't sleep. The thought of dangers surrounding Hera is making him feel unsettled.
