Caught

Looking at the three armed guys deciding to leave, Valentine felt a huge load getting off his shoulders.

He knows he doesn't have much time to help. If he really wants to help, he needs to hurry or otherwise he would only create problems for the girl by leaving in between.

He asked, "Do you know what the time is?"

"Huh", she was a bit surprised but then answered reading her wrist watch," two forty-four"

"F##k time" he whispered to himself not loud enough for her to catch his words.

Time was passing quickly. Thirty-four minutes have passed, leaving him with even less than half an hour.

He whispered to her, "Enter the encore room when I wave my hand to you but do not make any sort of noise", she replied to him nodding.

Only one was left looking here and there to find someone alive in that huge bungalow. Valentine was quick with his steps, even before the man could realize what was nearing him; Valentine twisted his neck causing him to die instantly.

He waved at the girl, opening the encore door. He has now killed one of them; it won't be long till they find their dead companion. His companions just left a few minutes ago but Valentine could not afford to wait much longer.

He closed the door behind him when entering following after the girl as an open door will be first to pick the attention. The room may look like a small library, if one hasn't read about the secret door leading to the real place in the map before.

He made quick steps to the last shelf standing attached to the wall completely, there was no gap between the wall and the last shelf as if they were one, which is not usually normal.

He pulled the fifth book in the third row. A red book with dust which looks really dull in comparison to the other books around it.

The pull triggered a door to emerge open in a plain wall out of the blue, the wall was unusual too compared to others hovered by many portraits or some sceneries.

Bang! Someone entered the room breaking the lock which valentine had put. He put the lock so he could know when someone tries to open the door by the sound of thudding but it looked like he underestimated them. They didn't make a noise in the opening of the door to not alert the one inside but instead they quietly checked for it if it opened or not. And if it doesn't then bam enters in cutting as much as time as possible for the insider to get alerted.

"Enter inside" came the quick whisper from Valentine. He was expecting for them to get a little late to find them behind so many shelves.

Valentine quickly entered inside with Angelica when the door was still half way from completely open. He was clicking the blue spherical switch but the door was damn slow to close.

He knew he needed to get ready for the worst hearing the steps of someone nearing them, his senses were alerted. His eyes were quick to spot someone about to fire a gun at the girl at the door half closed.

Just the time the man was about to fire the gun, Valentine pulled the girl towards him. Their dodge triggered random gunshots at them from the armed guys.

The noise caused by the shooting was too loud, the girl pressed her palms on both her ears and her finger trembled.

He asked the girl to run away and followed behind her telling her to turn left when the path parts.

She nodded running, her heart beating loud in her chest. The continuous bullet shots were deafening. She felt her mask of bravery slipping away. The thought of being hurt by any of the bullets increased her speed significantly. She ran as fast as her feet would allow but at times she felt like tripping but she didn't.

Valentine was calculating his next move while keeping a check on the door behind which was being forced to open. It won't be long when they have totally destroyed the door and entered inside. He wasn't afraid for himself but worried for the girl who will be assassinated if he left any moment soon. So, it is necessary to make sure she is safe otherwise it will bother him.

Even though there were less chances of her surviving in her room by herself, there was still some chance. But if he left right now, they will catch up to her and kill her.

He was still far from coming up with something and here the door is cracked open almost.
