8 || In my room

Calum doesn’t speak to me on the ride home. I can’t form a sentence so I sit still and quiet throughout the drive. He parks and his icy glare turns to me. I gulp. “In my room, Cathy. Now.” 

“No.” 

Darkness clouds his gaze and a blonde brow lifts. I haven’t seen this version of him. “I didn’t hear that,” he mutters in a tone cold as his expression. I shake my head and he smirks. “I thought as much.”

Shaking off the nerves, I get out of the car and rush into the house. Dani waves from the couch, she’s glued to the soap opera showing on TV but manages to ask how school was. I swallow my words as soon as Calum steps into the living room. The room grows hotter and I fan myself. Where did all the air go? He stops behind me, his hand on my lower back and I nearly jump out of my skin.

“How was your first lesson?” Dani asks him.
