Chapter 7
I TOOK A DEEP breath before entering the café where I'll meet Charlie. I got with me his things that I will be returning today. Last night, I mentally and emotionally prepared myself for this day because I know, this will be the last time I'll see his face this close and that this will confirm that we're totally over.
"Hi," he greeted as soon as I reached where he was. "Is that my things?" He looked at the box I was holding. "Yea," I answered, faking a smile.
"Have a seat," he then offered.
But I stood still.
"No, thank you. I have to run some errands so I can't stay longer. Here," I said, placing the box on the table. "Oh, okay then. Thank you for..for this..and for..everything," he said, kind of shy and hesitant.
