Freya

“Hiii…” the words got stuck in my throat when the door opened and Dennis walked in, accompanied by one of the people who dragged his bag in.

“My sweet love!!” He exclaimed and then rushed over to hug me.

I couldn’t even hold him, my mind was on the bags in my room.

“What’s wrong? You look like you just saw a ghost. What’s going on? Don’t you want me here anymore?” Dennis asked when he finally unplugged from my body.

“Of course, I do. I’m just wondering why your things are in the room, I thought you would still be staying in your room.” I managed to let out while he took a step back, gave me a once over and then smiled.

“Baby… but this is my room. I only moved into the guest room because we had issues then. Now that it’s all resolved, I’m back where I rightfully belong. In our room, and with my lovely fiancé.” He let out and then slowly reached into his pocket.

“What are you d…?” Before I could finish, he was on his knees with a ring. The same one he bought with my money but ins

Sonia “Think Sonia, think… you need to do something.” I kept muttering to myself as I paced the room.Dennis was back with the b*tch, Freya and I couldn’t stop thinking about the despicable things they would be doing. Why is it so hard for her to read the writing on the wall? I mean it’s so obvious that Dennis isn’t into her. Why does she keep trying to win my man over?!I finally sat on the bed, but I was still restless, and I was soon on my feet, pacing the room again. It’s times like this that I wish I had some magical powers, I would just make myself invisible and teleport to where they are right now. I would be able to see what they are doing, and if I’m not comfortable, I get to stop them without them even knowing. After about thirty minutes, I got tired and became sleepy, so I crashed into the bed, pulled the duvet over my face and forced myself to sleep. At least, that would stop the pain that was eating deep into my being.I woke up very early, with thoughts of my husband w

Sonia“Excuse me please, I need to use the restroom…” I let out as I quickly jumped to my feet.“Alright. But are you okay though? You look so worried? Is something going on that I need to know about?” Freya asked, looking so concerned, and she should rightly be. How could she tell that to me? She was shamelessly f*cking my man, and she still had the guts to tell me! How wicked can she be??“Oh no, I’m okay, I just need to get in there, I’m so pressed. I’ll be right back.” I said, and then scurried off without waiting for a response from her. “Dennis and I had a makeup s*x last night, and it was so passionate and sweet. He was so gentle and paid so much attention to my body…” Freya’s words kept ringing in my head and ears as I made my way into the restroom. The whole place was empty and that made me happy. I locked the door and then quickly put a call through to Dennis. He ignored me the first time, but that didn’t stop me. I kept trying and on the fifth ring, he finally answered.

FreyaI could feel Sonia’s eyes glued on my body as I made my way out of the restaurant and straight to the car to meet who she thinks is her husband. “Heyyy beautiful…” Victor let out with a smile while he leaned forward to hug me. “How’s your day going? Interesting I guess, since you need saving from your best friend.” He added quickly, and I could tell he was teasing from the way his gaze went from me to staring in the direction of the restaurant.Sonia was still standing at the table and staring at the car, but she couldn’t see anything because of the tinted glasses. However, judging from the heated look on her face, it was obvious she was boiling with anger. If only she could, she would have raced toward us and dragged ‘Dennis’ out of the car, give him the beating of his life for cheating on her…“I know right… I know she’s regretting ever agreeing to her man dating me right now.” I added, too, while Victor chuckled. “Trust me, she loves the money they’re getting more than any

FreyaI could walk into this spa any time and I would still be attended to with great care, but still, I love to make appointments prior to my visit. “Did they change the decor in here or has it been that long since I came here?” Sonia let out as we got into the massage room.“Yes, we did change some things to make the experience better for our gorgeous clients like you… and then, yes, it’s been a while since we had the pleasure of working on you, ma’am.” Ryan let out while we both looked in his direction immediately. We had no idea he was in the other room and listening to us. He had a broad smile as we all locked eyes. “Ryan!!” Sonia and I both let out and the next thing I knew, she was in his arms hugging and pressing him tightly to her body, which made me wonder why, but I tried not to look surprised.“I missed you, Ryan.” She let out while he finally managed to fight free from her tight grip. “We missed you here as well,” he chimed in, and before she could hug him again, he qu

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Time to dig out his secrets…

SoniaI thought seeing Dennis' face would douse the embarrassment I got from the stupid masseuse. How could he turn down a sexy woman like me? How dare he? Anyway, it’s his loss, if he doesn’t want to have me, it’s his loss and he can f*ck off for all I care. The moment he turned his back on me and walked out of the room, any bit of attraction I had for him vanished immediately. I was back to thinking about my husband. I turned around and saw Freya on call with him. I was still very mad at him, but his voice somehow calmed my nerves and I really wanted to talk to him. “I want to talk to him… let me…” I hadn’t finished when I heard the beep at the end of the call. Freya had hung up. She actually ended the call, and it didn’t matter that she said it was Dennis who did it. I knew she didn’t want me to talk to him, else, she would have asked him to wait and let me join the call. But I wasn’t going to let that bother me. I knew the best way to get my way. I would just go home with he

Freya“Clowns…” that was all I could say as I sat at my dressing table in front of my computer, watching as the two fools made a fool of themselves. It was so satisfying to watch them think they were doing their thing behind my back, not knowing I was watching and hearing every damn thing. They might have just talked out instead of suppressing the emotions and anger that they tried so hard to hide in their muffled voices.I kept sipping my juice while laughing and watching them clown on. How fast the tables have turned, and do I love it? Oh yes, I absolutely love it. Dennis got me juice and pizza on his way back from work, and was hoping we would have dinner together. But the second he heard Sonia was in the house, he became restless and suddenly remembered he was full. He asked me to enjoy dinner while he excused himself to get something downstairs in the living room. I knew he was going to Sonia’s room, but I just played along. Dennis I couldn’t sleep well throughout the night. After the drama Sonia displayed last night, I was on my way in over my head. I kept tossing on the bed till Freya noticed and asked if anything was going on.I pretended everything was fine and that I just wanted her in my arms. She smiled and rolled into my arms while I kissed her and then pretended to sleep off.I didn’t. A few minutes later when I was sure she was back to sleeping, I opened my eyes and stayed that way for a long time. I managed to get some sleep before dawn but once it was morning and Freya woke up, I got up too.“Good morning, my love.” I chimed in as a placed a deep kiss on her lips. She smiled, and I held her tight in my arms.“Good morning, were you able to get some sleep? You seemed disturbed throughout the night?” She asked while I smiled.“I wasn’t disturbed, and I was able to sleep once I was holding you in my arms.” I replied while she nodded.“That’s good then. Freya“You know I never thought about it that way… thank you for always having my back. I would have been so naive without you.” I finally let out while he smiled.“I love you, and that’s what you do when you’re in love, have your partner’s back.” He chimed in.At least both husband and wife have that in common - delusion. They both think they have me fooled and hooked on their lies, when in fact they are the ones in my trap.“You look so beautiful today. I wish I could stay with you all day and see your face. But since I can’t have that, I’d just settle for a nice picture of you.” He added sharply and then took out his phone.“Ohh, my battery is low… can I use yours?” He chimed in while I nodded and passed it to him. He took a few pictures and then went on to do some other things in the name of sending them to his phone, but I knew he was doing something else. I didn’t attempt to interrupt him though, I just let him do his thing while I focused on packing my things.“Here, I’m done.

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   The intruder… unveiled!

Victor The moment I stepped through the door and saw Freya rushing over to greet me, something inside me softened. No matter how long the day was or how much weight I carried on my shoulders, seeing her smile made it all worth it. I held out the flowers I picked up on the way home. It was nothing extravagant, just fresh white tulips she liked. Her eyes lit up once I handed it to her and she beamed with smiles, making my heart flutter even more. She buried her face in the bouquet, inhaling deeply, and I watched her like a man who had no business owning this much peace. "Thanks baby, it smells so amazing," she murmured.“You do too,” I said with a grin, and kissed her. Her lips were warm, soft, familiar. As I slipped off my jacket, she asked the question I knew was coming. “Any word from Nate?”I sighed. “Not yet. He’s still digging.”She nodded slowly, that glimmer in her eyes dimming just slightly.“Don’t worry, I trust him, huh?” I let out while she nodded slowly. I know she’s stil

Victor The moment I parked the car, I didn’t even wait for the engine to go off completely before I flung the door open and rushed out. My pulse was thudding like a war drum in my ears, my heart hammering harder than it should for someone who had been reassured over the phone that everything was fine. But how could I trust that? How could I trust that when my woman was just confronted in our home by a stranger with a veiled threat? And I wasn’t there. How the heck did they even know she’d be there? It’s not as if we live together, and we stay at her place more than we come to mine! I should have been more careful. I should have stayed at home today to look after her!The guilt chewed at my insides like acid as I unlocked the front door and stepped in. My ears were tuned for any strange sound, my eyes scanning everything. The house looked calm, too calm for the kind of emotional earthquake I was sure she must’ve endured. Then I caught a whiff of vanilla and chocolate and followed it t

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Nothing is okay!

VictorStacey and I got into the car and I drove off. Having her with me changed my routine a bit, usually while driving to work in the morning, it’s always silent, so I use the time to reflect on my thoughts and day ahead. With Stacey, it’s totally different. She was seated beside me, quiet at first, just scrolling through her phone and occasionally replying to emails or whatever it was doctors did before a long shift. I didn’t think much of it until I caught her stealing glances at me. Once. Twice. Then again. And again. At first, I chalked it up to coincidence. Maybe something was on my face. I rubbed my jaw subtly, checked the mirror, and even adjusted the rearview to make sure nothing weird was going on with my hair. Nothing. But then she did it again, this time, a full glance paired with this shy little smile before looking out the window like I hadn’t seen her. And to top it off? She blushed. I mean actually blushed. That was when I knew something was up.I kept my eyes on the

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   I'm not scared of Sonia!

FreyaI woke up to the softest brush of lips against my forehead, a tender, lingering kiss that stirred me from sleep far more gently than any alarm ever could. My lashes fluttered open, and for a second, I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming. But then I saw him. Victor, sitting at the edge of the bed, fully dressed in a sleek dark suit, his tie perfectly knotted, and that boyish, heart-melting smile on his face.“Good morning, sleepyhead,” he whispered, his hand lightly caressing my cheek.I smiled back at him, still feeling a little dazed from sleep, from everything that had happened the past few days. “You’re all dressed up,” I mumbled, stretching lazily beneath the covers. “What time is it?”“Almost eight,” he said, brushing a strand of hair out of my face. “I didn’t want to leave without seeing you awake first.”My heart squeezed at that. God, how did I ever get this lucky?I blinked the sleep out of my eyes and propped myself up slightly. “The court hearing...?” I asked, my voice stil

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   I’m not going anywhere…

VictorMy fingers gripped the steering wheel so tight I thought it might snap off. Every mile I drove, every second I spent away from her, the anger in me only grew bigger, hotter. My mind wouldn’t stop flashing back to the way Freya looked lying unconscious on that hospital bed. She was so pale, so fragile.I slammed my palm against the steering wheel, the loud crack of it echoing inside the car.“Son of a b*tch!” I roared.Dennis was going to pay. He wasn’t just going to lose in court. No, that was too easy. Too clean. I was going to break him.I sped the rest of the way to the villa, not even caring that I was pushing way past the speed limit. Let the cops try to stop me tonight, they wouldn’t be able to slow me down if they tried. When I pulled up, I killed the engine and climbed out, slamming the door so hard the whole car shook. I didn’t even bother to check my surroundings. I was past the point of caring.Inside, the low sound of music filled the air, the smell of expensive liq

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Something bigger!

FreyaI was starting to feel restless, lying there and staring at the ceiling like I had nothing better to do. Victor was taking too long and it got me worried that he didn’t know what he was doing in there. I was about going to meet him when the door creaked open. I lifted my head and then blinked again just to be sure I wasn’t hallucinating.Victor walked in... and right beside him, Stacey.“Stacey!” I gasped, my voice practically breaking with surprise and relief. Before I could even process it properly, she rushed over to the bed and threw her arms around me. The sweet scent of her cologne and the warmth of her hug almost made me cry. I missed her so much.“Careful!” Victor’s voice cut sharply across the room. I laughed into Stacey’s shoulder, pulling back slightly just to look at his ridiculously serious face.“She’s fine, Victor!” Stacey said, rolling her eyes as she squeezed me a little tighter to make her point.I shook my head fondly and looked up at him, mock pleading, “Plea

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Their fates will be sealed tonight!

Victor I must’ve paced the same the hospital corridor at least a hundred times, maybe more. My feet had gone numb, my throat was dry from whispering every kind of silent prayer I could think of, and my mind… God, my mind was a mess. All I could see was her falling, all I could hear was the dull, lifeless thud of her body hitting the ground, and all I could feel was this suffocating panic sitting heavy on my chest.Just then, the double doors finally creaked open and I turned so fast my neck cracked. It was the doctor with his white coat and a calm face.I don’t even remember moving. I was just suddenly in front of him, my hands grabbing his in a desperate, reflexive gesture. “Is she okay?” My voice cracked. I didn’t even care how I looked. I would’ve begged on my knees if I had to. “Please tell me she’s okay. Please.”He blinked, a little startled by how tightly I was gripping his arms. “She’s fine, Mr. Victor. She’s perfectly fine now.”I swear the air came back into my lungs in a r

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   Help me or I expose your secrets!

SoniaI stood there, completely still, even as the air around us felt like it was vibrating with tension. Marshall's voice echoed in my head long after he’d stopped talking, like someone had stamped his words into my skull with a branding iron.‘A video... a judge that doesn't tolerate abuse... no way out.’And Dennis? God, he looked like a damn ghost. He was pale, shaken and for once, speechless.I watched him, watched the slow crumbling of his ego, his plans, his fake sense of control. And that’s when it hit me.He’s finished. Like… really finished. It was written all over his face. I didn’t need a judge or a lawyer to confirm it. I’d seen that look before, on men who lost everything and had no idea how to claw their way back. That mix of disbelief and slow, dawning horror that they’d gambled with too much and lost it all.And just like that, everything in me snapped to attention.Because I might’ve been a lot of things, but I wasn’t stupid. And I sure as hell wasn’t going down with

  • Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!   There’s no way out of this!

DennisI stood there, frozen, the sounds around me swallowed up in this buzzing roar in my ears. I couldn’t even blink. My eyes were locked on the spot where she had fallen just moments ago.Victor had carried her away like she weighed nothing, like she meant everything.I hadn’t moved. Not when she collapsed. Not even when Victor gave me that look… the kind you only give someone you want to bury with your bare hands.I’d seen men like him lose control before. And for a second, I thought he would.I actually braced for it, his fist, his rage but it never came. He didn’t throw a punch. He didn’t say a word.He just held her like the world could fall apart and she was the only thing he wanted to save. And I was still standing there like some idiot villain in an expensive courtroom drama. The cameras were still rolling, people were whispering, and phones were up. I could feel their judgment crawling on my skin like ants.“She fell… I didn’t even touch her,” I mumbled, to no one in partic
