Valeria immediately hid the phone underneath the pillow before hurrying to open the door.

"Hey, my love, I'm sorry for keeping you, I was having a nap," Valeria lied.

"I'm so sorry for disturbing you, love. I just got a little break and decided to come see you. I missed you so much.

Ergon walked over to where she stood and pulled her into his arms.

"And I missed you too, darling," Valeria replied, wrapping her hands around him as well.

"I could tell. By the time I'm done with what I'm doing, I promise that you will be the happiest person."

"Huh? Really?"

"Of course, my love."

"May I know what you're working on?" Valeria asked.

"Nah....if I told you now, it would no longer be a surprise, don't you think?"

"Hmm, that's true." Valeria suddenly perceived a sweet smell on Ergon's shirt. That was unusual. Ergon wasn't a man who cared about perfumes, and to top it all, it wasn't just a man's perfume, but a woman's.
