~ Aria's POV ~

I stared at Raven, completely shocked by his question. Did he come all the way to my room just to ask me why I went over to Thorne's room? Since when did he care and, most importantly, how come he didn't hear my conversation with Thorne when he has sharp hearing?

"You didn't hear my conversation with him?" I muttered.

"I wouldn't have bothered showing up here if I had heard your conversation with him. He's an alpha heir, he has a way of omitting people from listening to his conversation, just like me," he replied.

So that's why he didn't hear my conversation with Thorne? I nodded my head, taking in my lower lip.

In the blink of an eye, Raven stood in front of me. "So what did you both talk about?" he asked, his voice low but tense.

"Is that why you're here?" I countered, and he groaned.

"You really love answering questions with questions, don’t you, Little Rat?"

I raised my gaze to meet his—but dropped it just as fast, as I could, looking anywhere but his eyes.
