~ Aria's POV ~

The amusement park was pure magic. I laughed until my stomach hurt, riding everything I could—rollercoasters, drop towers, all of it. The rollercoaster and the drop tower didn't scare me like how people often claimed they were scary.

But who was I kidding, I had almost ripped off Lucian's shirt during the ride, but still, it was so much fun. I got the opportunity to press my whole body on him.

"You had fun?" he asked as we strolled slowly through the park. I was happily licking the ice cream he bought me.

He didn't buy one for himself because he claimed he doesn't eat ice cream.

"Yes, I did. I had so much fun, thanks to you," I grinned, eating the ice cream, and it stained part of my lips.

"Silly you," Lucian chuckled, leaning in to wipe the stain off with his thumb.

"Thanks," I blushed furiously. "Are you sure you don’t want a bite? Mint chocolate is amazing."

"Really?" he asked, halting in his tracks, and I did the same.

"Yes. You should have a taste of it," I offered

  • Torn Between Monsters    Chapter 220

~ Aria's POV ~I jolted awake from my vision to find Ryker’s and Caspian’s eyes fixed on me.I was tied up.Breaking free from the rope would have been easy, but I didn’t. Not yet. I needed them to keep talking. My vision had shown me only fragments of their past, shattered pieces that left too many questions unanswered. I needed the rest. I needed the truth they hadn’t told me."Why did you tie me up?" I asked, pretending to struggle against the ropes. One hard pull and they would snap... I was sure of it."You were asleep for quite a while," Ryker said, smirking. "Did you have a vision again? What did you see?""I saw nothing," I lied. "Now tell me, were you really the one who killed Nyx?""Yes," Ryker answered without hesitation."Why? Why did you kill an innocent girl? She did nothing wrong to you?!" I yelled."She did nothing wrong to me, but at least killing her helped me get what I wanted," he smiled."What do you mean?" I etched my eyebrows."The killings in Velmora," Caspian

  • Torn Between Monsters    Chapter 219

~ Aria's POV ~My vision snapped violently into another place the moment I tried to step closer to Caspian. My eyes flew open and suddenly I was standing in the middle of a battlefield.Werewolves fighting werewolves. My brows furrowed, wondering why werewolves were fighting each other, until I saw Ryker and Thaddeus in the middle of the battle.Blood splattered the ground. Heads were severed and rolled across the dirt. Swords plunged into bodies with sickening force. One by one, bodies collapsed, lifeless, staining the ground. It was a massacre. A complete bloodbath. What the hell was happening? I wondered, my heart pounding as I watched them throw themselves into a brutal fight.A sword slid cleanly through Thadeus's body, and he crashed to the ground, dead. Ryker screamed—raw, broken agony tearing from his throat as he tried to reach him. But before he could, an arrow pierced his back.Ryker staggered…and collapsed. The world shifted again. The next place I found myself was a diml

  • Torn Between Monsters    Chapter 218

~ Aria's POV ~The moment I recovered from the shock, the world around me shifted. I was no longer in the cave. I was standing inside Alistair’s palace. My breath caught as my eyes swept across the familiar grandeur: cold marble floors and towering pillars. I knew instantly that I was having a vision, but whose memory was I witnessing?I walked freely in the hallway of the palace because I already knew no one could see me. As I walked down the hallway, wondering whose memory I was in, I heard Caspian's voice. He was talking to someone. My pulse quickened as I followed the sound and pushed the door open. It swung silently on its hinges, and because they couldn't see me, they didn't hear the door opening.Alistair sat on his throne. The sight of him made my blood run cold. He sat exactly the same way he had before he murdered my dad."What did you just say?" Alistair asked."I found where Alucard is hiding," Caspian replied, his expression frozen in icy calm.My lips parted in shock tha

  • Torn Between Monsters    Chapter 217

~ Aria's POV ~I watched in silence as Isha prepared everything for the sacrifice. She sat cross-legged on the cold jagged ground, a sheet of thick white paper—almost like cardboard spread carefully before her. With black ashes, she drew a large circle at the center, her movements slow and deliberate. When she was done, she placed seven black candles around the paper, spacing them evenly, then laid dried bones at the edges like silent sentinels guarding the ritual.A shiver crawled down my spine.Isha poured more black ashes around the circle, her lips moving as she murmured incantations under her breath, as though she were attempting to pry open the very gates of death itself.Suddenly, flames erupted out of nowhere.I stumbled backward with a gasp as fire ignited along the drawn circle—but the paper didn’t burn. Instead, the flames clung only to the markings, dancing wildly, alive, as if obeying an unseen command. The sound that followed made my stomach churn.Isha shook the rattle

  • Torn Between Monsters    Chapter 216

~ Aria's POV ~"What do you mean my blood can awaken dead werewolves and vampires?" I asked, confusion thick in my voice. The only thing I knew my blood could do was heal wounds. Sybille never mentioned that my blood was capable of waking up the dead."You're stronger than you think, Aria?" Ryker said calmly."I know. I can feel it... but what I don't understand is how my blood can awaken the dead. Is that even possible?" I asked."Yes, it is. You're real and unique, and that's why your blood can do incredible things. All we need to do is perform rituals.""Rituals?" I repeated, my frown deepening. "What kind of rituals?""For your blood to be able to awaken the dead, a ritual needs to be performed," Ryker said.I stared at him. "How do you know all of this?" I asked."You're one with forbidden blood, your blood is magical. I saw it through a prophecy.""Prophecy?" I echoed, growing even more confused. "What kind of prophecy?""I know you're confused. I will try to explain everything

  • Torn Between Monsters    Chapter 215

    - Aria's POV ~After I left Raven and Thorne unconscious and barely breathing, my next target was their fathers. I wasn't going to spare them. I'd kill them the same way they killed my parents.I halted when I was only a few feet away from Alistair’s mansion. I had chosen him first because I planned to deal with Magnus in a way he would never expect.Magnus wasn’t just going to pay for killing my mother, he would pay for every ounce of suffering and torture he put me through. I wasn’t afraid of them anymore. Not now that I had grown stronger—stronger than they ever imagined. My fists clenched as I strode toward the mansion gate. But before I could reach it, something struck my face.A stone. When I snapped my head in the direction from which the stone had come, I saw Ryker standing behind a tree, signaling for me to come over.My eyebrows furrowed at his sudden appearance. After he ditched me at the eatery, I hadn't seen him until now.He gestured again with his eyes, urging me closer
