Torn Between Two Alphas

Everyone hated me. 

‘I heard Beta Claire is back,’ One maid whispered. 

‘Will the Alpha finally get rid of this useless Omega?’ Another asks. 

‘She doesn’t have any use anyway,’ the other responded, ‘All she does is spend the Alpha’s money over nothing.’

‘Agree, and who the hell bakes in those kinds of clothes?’ 

Ouch!

‘Well, at least I look good,’ Was what I wanted to tell them but those words stayed in my head. I used to fight them with my words but always ended up in trouble with Stefan for it. He always tells me that I shouldn’t fight with his people, which of course includes his maids. So here I am,  wearing my poker face trying to show that their words don’t bother me.

I don’t care about them anyway. I wouldn’t care less. They can hate me all they want it doesn’t matter, as long as Stefan stays by my side. 

Stefan…

The one and only Alpha King.

He changed my fate the moment he saved me from being sold.

Because of my bloodline, the moment my father announced that I was up for bidding. All the packs near us began to attack our pack with one thought in mind, to claim me. Why waste their precious money when they can just take me by force? 

Our pack suffered because of this, we are losing more and more people to defend our walls. 

On the night that my father’s pack was about to fall. The Alpha King’s pack, led by the most successful, most wanted, eligible bachelor, Stefan Valentine, came to our aid.

He walked into my room looking dashing in the black suit that he was wearing as he offered his hand to me which forever changed my life. 

As his hand touched mine, something between us clicked as we both said the exact same words. 

“Mate.”

So now here I am, living with the man of my dreams, making him his favorite chocolate almond cake to celebrate our special day. I just hope that this time I get to see him eat it in person.

Being the Alpha King meant that he was always busy and even though we lived together, I barely saw him. This is why despite the pain in my leg, I still wear these heels and make sure that I always look good, so that if we ever bump into each other I am always presentable. 

I was preparing the icing for my cake when I felt the shift in the air and I knew who just entered my kitchen, my number one hater.

“Trying to win the Alpha with a chocolate cake?” Clarisse said, taunting me. I am so used to the way she acts like she’s a grown-up but in reality, she is nothing but a child. 

When I first came here I thought she wanted me to be her friend, but god was I wrong. She was so good at what she did, acting so innocent and vulnerable that when the new car that Stefan had brought me crashed into a ditch just outside the estate as I was teaching Clarisse to drive, she easily placed the blame on me. 

That was the first and last time that I let that little witch manipulate me. 

“If Clare hadn’t left to study abroad, I am very sure that you wouldn’t be here,” She said as she leaned over placing her index finger in the middle of the icing that I just finished making. 

Sometimes I wonder if she was really Beta Clare’s sister. I know all too well who Clare was despite her absence. People around here have a funny way of rubbing it on my face. 

And I can’t help but feel insecure at times. 

She is not only smart, but also strong, and beautiful, not to mention, she was also Stefan’s first love.

“I know that you’re the Alpha’s mate but that’s all there is. He just pities you so much that he can’t reject you because once he does, you have no place to go. Who would want you? An Omega who doesn’t even look good. If it was not for your bloodline you would be nothing,” God I hate her so much. 

“Why don’t you do everyone else a favor, especially the Alpha, by leaving on your own free will and stop dreaming that cooking chocolate cakes will make you our Luna.” A smirk appeared on the witch’s face thinking that she was winning the battle. 

Until I smiled. 

“Do you remember the night when Stefan was drunk and you knocked at the door of his study while wearing your sister’s uniform telling him that you would do anything to make him happy but then he just dismissed you and closed the door?” I paused and watched as her eyes widened, “He dismissed you because you were interrupting him while he had me spread out on his desk, devouring me.”

Rage fills the face of the little witch as she angrily storms out of the room.

I smiled at my small victory of the day, as I threw the icing on the sink and prepared to make a new one when my phone buzzed and I checked the message.

Stefan Valentine transferred 1 million dollars to Angeline Michaelson.

My phone buzzed again and this time the message was from Stefan.

My Knight in Wolf’s Armor: I’m busy today, go ahead and buy anything you want. 

******

I threw my phone on the counter and stared at the cake I was about to finish.

A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I picked up the unfinished cake and threw it in the trash. 

After three years of being with me, I am once again left alone to celebrate our anniversary. Yes, today was the day we found out we were mates. The day when he saved my life. 

Everyone thinks that he spoils me because he showers me with luxury but the truth is I barely see him unless he is so drunk and needs to find release. 

He never sleeps in our room nor do I find him beside me when I wake after he spends the night with me. 

And now that Claire is back, I know that everyone is waiting to see him to finally dump me.
