Chapter 9 - The Change

All of my life, I have been used to people treating me unfairly and to being hated. Which is why I never knew what it felt like to be treated like a princess.

Stefan never really treated me badly until now, but the moment he heard that I was carrying his heir, something around us and between us changed.

“What did you say?” he asked, his voice laced with disbelief. “I don’t think a baby would form just because we had sex last night.”

“You know that we’ve done it a lot more before last night,” was my reply.

He reluctantly looks at me. But I never gave any reason to doubt me.

“I have never been with anyone but you, Stefan, and you know it. You can doubt me all you want but I know that now that you know, your wolf can sense it.”

Stefan didn’t move. But he continues to stare at me. I felt the change in the air. Like it was no longer filled with rage, it was like it was softer.

I watched as Stefan’s eyes changed from black to grey as it went back and forth like it was unable to decide w
