MasukSummer's POV
“Summer?” Ashton called my name, pulling away from Freya in shock, his eyes widened in terror like he had any right to be horrified. “It’s a..”
“What the hell are you doing here? Get the hell out of here.” Freya barked, her eyes filled with fury as they burned into mine. Fear crippled me, my heart was racing and my mind unable to think of a rational decision out of this. Before I knew it, Ashton was walking towards me.
“There’s no reason to be mad Summer, I was just having a little fun, no strings attached.” He explained, the guilty expression on his face now worn off.
“What are you talking about?” Tears were beginning to form in my eyes but they didn’t dare fall, I couldn’t give him that satisfaction.
“Oh please Ashton, is there any reason to lie to her?” Freya walked towards us, leaning her head on Ashton’s shoulders. “We’ve been together since the break.”
What?
I found it hard to believe, I stared at Ashton, hoping he was going to deny it, at least for by his moment, give me hope that he still wanted me and this was only a mistake. “What? Are you waiting for me to deny it?” He burst out laughing, as well as the others in the room, most were his team mates, some of Freya’s friends and some other bunch of kids.
I felt a sting in my chest, was this the taste of betrayal? I could hardly breath. “Why?” I asked quietly.
“Why? You dare ask why?” Freya scoffed.
“Last I checked, you were Trey’s girlfriend…”
“I was until we broke up.” Sje interupted, poking my chest with her slender perfectly cuticled finger. “Now get the hell out of here before I make you.”
Ignoring her I stared up at Ashton, I didn’t want this to be true. “Tell me you’re lying.” My voice broke, the tears I had been holding back slipping out. “I-it’s our anniversary, why?”
“You’re a worm, quit stressing me out and fuck off! If not for the bet I made with my guys, I wouldn’t even look your way!” He shot back at me, the perfectly calm boyfriend I once knew had now dissappeated, teplaced with a monster, his eyes blazing furiously. “You’re a useless omega and I don’t want the likes of you!” He banged the door in my face, leaving me in an eery silence.
My wolf whimpered I’m despair, why was my life full of misery? My bad luck had begun since my fathers fatal accident while we were on our way back home, I had continued to pester him until he lost his concentration while driving and had an accident.
The pack members and my mom saw me as a curse and made my life hell, chewing my lower lip, I tried to steady my breathing. Tears were still rolling down my cheeks and my vision blurrred, I thought about texting Aubrey but I was certain she wouldn’t be with her phone and would be wrapped up in bed with her boyfriend.
I couldn’t bear this pain anymore, I clenched my shirt trying to soothe myself, now that we were broken up, my life would certainly be some worse than before, the bullying was set to double, I can’t face that again, I would rather leave then let that happen. Walking my way to the roof, treats looting down my cheeks, there was no point sticking around, neglected by my very own mother for causing the death of her mate, hated by the whole pack and a laughing stock at my school and now the one reason I was very happy and fulfilled was taken away from me.
The music from below was still blaring loudly, I cpjdl still hear screams of excitement from them, no one knew how much despair I was in. Staring at the height difference dainted my fear. I moved to the edge, sighing deeply, taking one final look at the sky, I lenses forward, letting the night air slap my face.
I felt myself falling and suddenly stopped, arching my brows I flashed my eyes open, staring down I was dangling in the air before being pulled up.
Falling to the hard floor, I winced in pain, glaring up at the person but fear immediately replaced my anger. Standing before me was Trey, his eyes burned with visible anger. “Just what the hell are you thinking?” He snarled furiously.
“It shouldn’t be of concern to you if I want to waste my life.” I retorted, no fear, just pure hopelessness, I had given up on everything.
“Don’t tell me you’re so defeated because a punk cheated on you, you’re seriously given them more reason to see you as pathetic.” He scoffed, gazing down at me, I remained still on the floor wondering why him of all people cared if I wanted to end my life or not.
“If you’re here to mock me, get over with it.” I mumbled quietly, moving my gaze to the floor. He squatted beside me, his hands gently lifting my chin up, I felt how hard and rough his hands were and having him this close to me, I could smell his leatherwood cologne.
“Well cupcake I have a better proposal”
Cupcake? Proposal?
Furrowing my brows, I couldn’t hide my confusion. “W-what do you mean?” I stuttered, trying to steady my breathing.
A smirk trailed on his lips. “Why don’t you become my fave girlfriend?”
What? I shot him a bewildered glance. “Y-your g-girlfriend?” I stuttered, my heart racing like I was going to have a heart attack.
“Yes, I need to teach a certain someone a lesson and you could make that punk look like a fool.” He shrugged, as much as the idea seems appealing to him, I didn’t buy it, I didn’t want any part in it. Getting up to my feet, I looked at anywhere but him.
“I-I don’t think I can do it.” My voice quivered.
“Don’t be a boring patootie.”
Me? Patootie? I slowly mustered the courage to look up at him, his cold glare he always held had dissappeated, exchanged with a smirk. “I’ll make it worth your while, after which you can go ahead and jump.” He took a peek and the height and sighed. “Probably get paralysed all your life.”
The thought of that eternal torture didn’t sit well with me, gulping nervously, I ticked behind my lose hair. “I-I don’t want to be a part of your revenge scheme.” I blurted out.
“I’m helping you.” He tetorted.
“You’re trying to use me.” I defended wondering where I had gotten my courage from.
“Same as you if you agree, it’s mutual.” He shrugged. “Although we are going to make it more natural.”
“More natural?” I cocked my head in confusion.
“Yes, act like we are in a real relationship? Kiss and cuddle?”
“Kiss?”
“Do you expect us to walk about like sticks and look like we are actually deceiving ourselves?”
He’s right but-
“I’m want a positive answer.” He leaned closer. “Keep in mind I don’t take rejection nicely.” His tone was threatening and i could feel my skin tingle in fear. “Do you agree to be my fake girlfriend?”
If o couldn’t reject him, then I make a run for it, I darted as fast as I could towards the door but he pulled me back wotjout moving his body, his eyes burning into mine. “Answer?”
I could feel my body heat rising, fear dancing in me. I blurted out the only word I could think of.
“Yes!”
Summer’s POV Why the hell was Freya here? Our eyes met and she stared at me with nothing but disgust. “That bitch is really living with you? So the rumors are true.” Freya crossed her hands over the other, glaring at me before shifting her gaze to Trey.“What are you doing here? I told you things between us is really over.” Trey frowned his lips at her, giving her a once over look before walking closer. She pushed herself to him, smirking. “You really think things would end between us that easily? I love you Trey and there’s no way you can actually fling me away.” She protested, pouting her lips, leaning close to him. “You and I will be coming back together.“Why do you have the access code? I thought I had changed it.” Trey frowned, still not giving in to her manipulative talk.I on the other hand wanted to push her far away from my mate but didn’t want things to be too obvious around the house, my fists clenched by my side. That good for nothing bitch really thinks she can play whi
Summer’s pov“What are you doing?” I asked meekly, my heart literally in my throat at this point, his wet hair letting water drop on his shirtless tattooed skin and for a moment I was distracted by their intriguing designs, the water droplets trailing down his skin making it glistened under the room light. His eyes darkened but staring deeper into them, I could catch a hint of anger but they faded away almost immediately.“How did you get in here?” He asked again, hiss. Pics was hoarse but it had a soft tone to it.I darted my eyes away, my legs almost giving out staring at the gun aimed at me, my lips parted open to speak but I could barely make out a word.“I…it’s my room.” I stuttered. He arched his brows, staring intently at me like ne was in disbelieve.”why I you mean-“The door suddenly swam open, both our beds turned to see who it was and there my savior was standing at the doorway with an unmoved look on his face. “Come here Summer, you walked into the wrong room.” Trey stretc
“That’s what I thought, get into the car.” Trey gestured towards me, his body towering over me in an intimidating manner. Thoughts of the crazy ride I had in the car with him crossed my mind. Walking away, I got into the car with a grumpy expression, looking out the window and trying my best to pretend he wasn't there. I hated myself for letting myself get into this mess. The more I thought I was going to get myself out, the more I got entangled in this shit! The drive home was silent, I couldn’t tell if he was pissed at me or something else, I wanted him to at least talk, tell me I sucked at spreading my legs to get fucked by him, snap at me, just something… anything but the silence I was faced with.“Want to get something on our way?” he finally asked, breaking the silence. I slowly glanced at him, the angry lines on his face had disappeared, a thin smile on his lips as he spoke. I nodded my head. “There's no need for that.”“School was exhausting and I know most of your strength
Summer’s pov The rest of the day was chaotic, i was barely able to walk thanks to how rough Trey was, in his words, he was trying to show i was his.I regretted doing this, I didn't care if we were mates but now we were siblings… step-siblings, I needed to back away from doing anything that could ruin my mother’s marriage, her happiness mattered a lot to me.“Hey!” Audrey's voice echoed behind me, my body froze in shock as I pulled Trey’s jacket tighter around me and turned to her with a small smile. “You didn’t go home?”“I felt a little better.” I replied, thanks to a few unbearably nice rounds from Trey, it was absolute heaven but he was going to roughen me up if we went any further.“I see.” she gave me a once over glance like she knew what I was up to. “Youve been… busy without me lately.” She folded her hands on her chest, her lips curved int a frown.“Thats not true.” I let out a nervous chuckle.“Well I certainly do not know so much about you lately.” she glared.“I will tell
Summer’s POV Picking myself up, I scampered into one of the stalls and locked the doors, my body trembling in fear .I could hear Ashton grunt in pain from the punch he was reviewing from Trey.“Get off me.” Ashton grunted in pain, his voice barely audible.“How dare you touch her with those filthy hands?” Trey roared, hearing him continue to beat him up left a sore feeling in my throat, getting out of the stall, I quickly made my way to them, standing between Trey and Ashton who was barely conscious.“It’s alright, I don’t want you to get in trouble.” I begged, hoping things won’t escalate further seeing how angry Trey was. Asides being the best player on the team, he’s also quite a strong fighter that no one dared cross. “Please…”“Let me beat up this pathetic bastard!” Trey tried to punch him again but I stood between them again, staring at him with pleading eyes.It was already enough that I’m in this disdainful state. I didn’t want any more situation or attention, I traced my ey
Summer’s POV Did I hear wrong? My mom moved my things? Without informing me? When? Before I could ask more questions he was already out of the cafeteria, my throat went dry and my head was ringing with unease. I understand my mother was money driven but to the extent of moving on so fast without bothering to carry me along? It tore my heart to shreds, even though I was her literal nightmare, I still deserved some update rather than being told later on.unsure what to do, I went about my day, I could figure it all out later. I had lost my appetite and made my way out of the cafeteria, walking towards the classroom, hoping to escape the hoards of students in the hallway.“Summer.” I heard Ashton call my name, I froze, it snapped something on me, the nostalgic feeling of having him around, I turned around, my eyes dancing around the almost quiet hallway until I finally caught sight of him. I scrunched my face into a frown. “What do you want?”He riled his eyes , hands shoved in his pock
