"Who are you?" Melech snarled as he came face to face with Emet right after leaving Azalia's quarters.

The Lavan princess peeked from behind the King's shoulder to see who he was talking to, her body instinctively relaxing at the sight of her knight. Seeing a familiar face, someone she could trust, felt like a breath of fresh air after the intense interaction she had just had with Melech. It was relieving, except Melech didn't seem happy with Emet's sudden appearance.

"I'm the princess' personal guard." The half-Lavan half-Yarok knight said while holding Melech's gaze. It was his first time seeing the Adom King, and so Emet cautiously studied the man who had so blatantly disrespected Azalia yesterday while trying hard to contain his anger.

"Is that so?" Melech replied, his crimson eyes also taking in the sight of the knight before him. He had known Azalia had brought her personal guard with her, but clearly didn't like the thought of another man being this close to his future wife. Th
