Amara POV

I am unable to prevent the moans escaping me, unable to bite down on the euphoric urge to groan out in desire.

My body was betraying me, my legs were failing me.

His hand snakes around my lower back, gripping tightly to me as he takes on my entire body weight.

I’ve lost all sensation in my legs, if he wasn’t holding me I would have collapsed to the floor.

His amber eyes are burning into mine, their hypnotic stare threatening to control not just my body but my mind.

He’s inches from me as his tongue is now no longer on my wrist….it is now centimetres from me, as his

lips are almost touching mine.

“Just one little taste.” He mutters out under his breath. His eyes flashing red before returning back to the amber colour.

I’m preparing myself as warmth spreads up my back, as I anticipate his lips on mine. No one has ever kissed me, not even Jason…we were waiting.

Sounds pathetic now, because he wasn’t waiting, not like I was.

My eyes flicker between his lips and his eyes, I

  • Traded to the Wolf King   Chapter 21 - Unexpected arrival

Erik POV Wolves were pushing on our borders. Wolves that haven’t tried before. They have to be connected to her, they just have to be. Her pathetic excuse for a family trying to get her back, not because they want her…because they love her, but because they’ve realised the bitch of a sister can’t survive without her. There’s a reason she was taking Amara’s blood, I just needed to figure out what it was. But she was like an injured sparrow, spent too long in hibernation….weak, mistreated and scared. She needed to be able to trust me first. “You healed her?” My office door flies open, Estrid letting herself in. “Excuse me?” I continue to sign the documents in front of me, not even looking up at her. “You’ve given her your alpha DNA, are you insane?” “She won’t go anywhere near the doctor, not yet.” “Erik, what is going on, what aren’t you telling me.” “Nothing.” I slam my pen down, getting irritated. “You like this girl, more than you are letting on.” “No I

Amara POV“Greta?” Estrid’s voice calls out from the main bedroom area, before she enters into the walk in wardrobe, finding both Greta and I. She stops abruptly, her cold eyes…like her brother’s, scrutinising my appearance. I can hear my own heart beating loudly, feel it thudding against my chest as I shrink under her glare…waiting for her to laugh, to tell me how terrible I look.“Amara…” I take a deep breath in to prepare myself, here it comes. I knew this dress was too much, I should have been more firm with Greta, should have spoken up more…trusted my gut.“…you look beautiful.”“I…really?” Her words stun me. There was no malice, no mockery…nothing like at home. “Yes.” She follows with a simple nod, before she tears her eyes away from me, to speak to Greta. That was it, back to business. “Go get dressed.” She orders at her cousin before moving deeper into the room and taking a seat on the dressing stool. They couldn’t be more different, Greta was all warmth and positivity, w

  • Traded to the Wolf King   Chapter 18 - Temptation

Erik POV “Do I need to check on him?” Estrid’s voice is a low whisper in the corner of her mouth, our eyes watching Finn as he lowers his body at Amara’s feet. “No, it’s settled. We move on.” I watch on as Finn’s head slowly moves down, revealing Amara’s new figure-hugging outfit as if I was undressing her with my eyes. I’ve only ever seen her in that tatty torn dress. I can feel my hands clench, my wolf pressing forward as he takes a glimpse for himself. His possessive growl rumbles in my chest, he didn’t like the thought of others looking at her...something I had never experienced before. With anyone. Next, she does something that I wouldn’t have expected, she places her hand on his head in an act of forgiveness, she forgives him. She’s meek, she’s weak…yet she’s showing that she can overcome her fears. She was terrified of Finn last night at dinner, trembling with fright….yet here she is willing to even be near him. I never take pleasure in punishing my o

  • Traded to the Wolf King   Chapter 17 - Punishment

Amara POV Estrid was his sister, his beta. It would explain why they seemed to be joined at the hip, why she was by his side when he stalked towards my family with unmatched confidence having taken the Mystic Hallows pack as his. I had no need for the incoherent jealousy that seems to snap out like a firecracker every time I see them interact. I shouldn’t be having those bouts of jealous anyhow, I was still coming to terms with losing Jason to Catherine. The one person that had been forever mine, dropping me for my sister….for a title…for power. Choosing her over me. Since Erik was banished from the pack two weeks ago, I’ve been torn between watching Catherine and Jason frolic around the alpha house and a gut-wrenching ache for being separated from Erik, the mate bond between us constantly begging for us to be reunited. “Ready?” Greta calls out to me. I stare at myself in the extravagant mirror of the walkin closet. Nobody needed a mirror this size; nobody was this large…I

  • Traded to the Wolf King   Chapter 16 – The King’s cousin

Amara POV I haven’t slept, every time I tried, his amber intense eyes were all that I could picture. He told me I had nothing to fear, that I should feel safe here…but those eyes still had a coldness to them. Maybe now being here, I’m starting to understand that icy hostile exterior of his. The door may have been locked but that didn’t stop me from sitting on the floor in the corner of the room, knees tucked in to my chest. I didn’t feel safe here, no matter what he claims…I’ve trusted before… Everything is foreign to me here…the smells, the noises. In the early hours of the morning I could hear the house staff preparing for the day, my fingers twitched with the urge to go downstairs and assist them. That was my role in my father’s house, I was the house staff. I knew my place, my station within the Alpha household. Here, I don’t know what am I. I can’t surely be the luna; I may be marked by him….in his luna rooms…but… A knock on the bedroom door pulls me out
