I sighed, pissed off that it had come to this so soon. I had used an excuse to go to the bathroom and call Clement. He had told me to tell Jarred everything I could about Brant, but he wanted it to remain that the reason we were hiding them was that Vianne and I were involved. Vianne had left her abusive husband but had to go into hiding after he hunted her down. Under no circumstances was anyone to know they were related to Clement.

The man had a hard time trusting anyone, even the members of his own pack. The more people who knew about his relationship with Vianne and Claire, the more likely it would be leaked out and used against him.
