“Princess,” I whispered in the most soothing voice I could. “It will be alright.”

Vianne's eyes moved up to find mine in the rearview mirror. She was scared shitless. Not that I blamed her. She continued to soothe Claire until she had her breathing under control. I managed to keep my composure but internally I was as worried as they were.
