View MoreThe room was surrounded by darkness, the sound of her hiccups and whimpering were resonating in the eerie silence of the room. The sound of his shoes echoed in the room as he entered the basement. His gaze wandered around the room and stopped on her shivering figure.
Drawing her knees closer to her chest, she was sitting in one corner of the basement, in dread. She was claustrophobic and he was well aware of that. She looks so delicate, so scared. If he would be the old version of Avyaansh, he would have enjoyed her frightened state but this Avyaansh is completely different from the old one. And the reason is, She. She changed him. She wavered his heart with the warmth of love.
Her face can be seen in the limited light of the room. In her panic, she didn't notice his presence while he was keenly observing her. His brows frowned when his eyes fell on the nail scratches on her arms which had dried blood.
'She hurt herself in her panic' his good side voiced his concern for her, he so desperately wanted to protect her but ended up only scaring her with his obsessive behaviour. He closed his eyes tightly and inhaled in a sharp breath before opening his eyes again. Her, fisting the hem of her shirt tightly in fear didn't go unnoticed by his predatory gaze.
"How are you doing? Wifey" Her eyes shot open upon hearing his voice, the soft browns collided with the hypnotizing icy blue ones. Anger rushed through her veins and fear as well for the man standing before her.
His gaze travelled on her tear-stained cheeks and his heart squeezed painfully, he wanted her to be happy but he became the reason for her tears. It took all his will to stop himself from wiping off her tears. She looked pale, her eyes and nose were red due to continuous crying and her quivering lips. It's been three hours since she was locked in that basement and he was the one who locked her. "I hope you have learned a lesson by now," he said with an evil smirk plastered on his face.
"You are a monster" She gritted with so much bitterness and he chuckled, poking his cheeks inwardly. "But this monster is your husband," He said, pinching the bridge of his nose and straightening to his full height. His eyes bore into her brown orbs, taking steps closer to her that made her breathing hitched, she crawled back in dread until she was stopped by the wall behind her. She wanted to fight back but his strong gaze was hovering over her mind, blocking every sense of her.
"My dad will find me soon, you can't cage me any longer," She pushed his hands away, her eyes glistened with determination in her words which earned a chuckle from him. "My dear Shany, for your kind information let me tell you where we are right now. Let alone your father, even his angels won't be able to find us," he said, scooting closer to her which made her press her body more into the wall to avoid coming in his skin contact and she felt the new dread rush down her spine.
Her throat bobbed, driving his attention when she swallowed the lump forming in her throat. 'What he wants from me?' Her eyes were locked with him and as if reading her mind easily he answered her unspoken words. "I want you" hearing his husky whisper and the proximity of his closeness were blocking every sense in her mind.
"I hate you," She said, gritting her teeth and glaring at him with fury. Her words felt like a stab in his chest but he masked his hurt and the devil in him was back again.
"Is that so, let me prove you wrong" that devilish smirk never left his face and before she could grasp his words he smashed his lips on hers harshly.

Aryan saw Avyaansh was coming towards him, a subtle shift in his demeanor as he subtly distanced himself from the group of men. “Avyaansh Malhotra,” Avyaansh stated, extending a hand in a greeting. Aryan shook hands in a formal handshake followed by a nod of acknowledgement. “Ayran Oberoi,” he replied, his voice a low rumble.“It's good to see you here Mr. Oberoi, I presume you have accepted the CEO position?” Avyaansh’s words held a hint of scrutiny while his eyes were carefully assessing Aryan. “You'd be right,” Aryan responded, the words thick as he took a deliberate sip of his champagne. “My father approached you for the same purpose, to persuade me, isn't it?” Aryan asked, his words were more of a statement. Avyaansh's gaze lingered on the glass in his hands. The way he was clutching the glass his veins were visible as if he would crush the glass. He smirked knowing he triggered him. “Indeed, but what truly piqued my interest was your initial reluctance,” Avyaansh admitted, taki
His flight landed in Los Angeles just as the sun dipped below the horizon. The moment he stepped out of the airport, the warm breeze of the city enveloped him. He spotted his car already waiting for him. He walked towards the car and the driver immediately greeted him, giving him an affirmed nod he slid into the backseat while the driver drove the car. As the car cruised through the city streets, he gazed out of the window, palm trees swaying, the iconic Hollywood sign in the distance, and the city's lively energy. The car stopped in front of the grand five star hotel. Avyaansh walked into the hotel lobby, its polished marble floors and elegant decor was a welcome sight. He approached the reception with a friendly smile, and collected his suite key and stepped into the elevator, pressing the floor button he waited tapping his foot on the floor. Reaching his suite he quickly headed into the bathroom. He was already tired with the jet lag and the work pressure and couldn't wait to tak
The midday sun streamed through the cafe window, casting a warm glow on the table where Shanaya and Amaira sat, their lunch forgotten as a serious conversation unfolded. Shanaya, her brow furrowed with concern, leaned forward, her gaze fixed on her friend. Amaira, her face pale and drawn, fidgeted with her straw, avoiding Shanaya's gaze. "No," she finally said, her voice barely a whisper, "I don't want Mom to be involved in this. I'll handle it on my own." Shanaya could see the tension in Amaira's shoulders, the way her fingers gripped the table, a clear sign of the turmoil within."But Amaira," Shanaya protested, her voice laced with worry, "this isn't something you can handle alone. It's been happening for months now, and it's getting worse. You can't just ignore it." She paused, trying to find the right words, the right tone. "If you don't want to talk to your Mom, that's fine, but we have to inform the police. This is serious, Amaira, we can't just let it go."Shanaya watched as
Next day;Avyaansh emerged from the meeting room, a shadow of weariness etched across his face. Tarun walked beside him, his voice a steady hum of updates. "The designs are in, sir," Tarun said, his fingers tapping the screen of his iPad.Avyaansh nodded, "Keep an eye on it, Tarun," he instructed, his voice low and clipped. "And reschedule my meeting with the shareholders this week." He draped his coat over the stand beside his desk, a sigh escaping his lips as he sank into his chair. "Sir, the annual press conference is being held on the 28th of this month in Los Angeles," Tarun continued, undeterred by Avyaansh's quiet intensity. "I've arranged your tickets and your stay at the hotel." Avyaansh finally looked up, his brow furrowing. "28th alright," he murmured, his fingers drumming a staccato rhythm on the desk. “You and Natasha attend this conference this year,” Avyaansh said and opened the lid of his laptop. "Any updates from Oberoi Enterprises?” He asked while his eyes were glu
A shuddering breath escaped his lips as he rubbed his palm across his face, trying to wipe away the overwhelming emotions that threatened to consume him. His eyes, red and swollen from the battle against tears, betrayed him as a single drop escaped, trailing down his cheek like a silent companion. He stared at the divorce papers clutched in his hands, the ink of her signature glaring back at him. She left the city without any traces behind. The ache in his chest deepened with each passing day, a gnawing reminder of the love that had once filled their lives. He knew he didn't deserve her forgiveness, but still, the least he could do was give her the peace she needed. He understood now that love sometimes meant letting go, and if she truly wished to part ways, he would honor her decision, even if it shattered him. The weight of his guilt was a constant companion, reminding him of the wounds he had inflicted on her heart, the way he had carelessly played with her emotions as if they we
