The sun peeped behind the clouds, slowly rising to its peak and bathed the whole city in the warmth of the sunlight. She pulled the quilt over her face, hiding under the blanket, still, sunlight entered her room and flashed on her face in a slow motion, only making her eyes shut and she turned to the other side. Her anklet made a jingling sound as her toe curled and hid inside the blanket. The morning was beautiful but she was in no mood of waking up right now.
"Shanaya baby, wake up," a motherly voice sounded from the door as a woman in her mid-fifties walked into her room. "Let me sleep, Reema bi," she mumbled in her sleepy voice and pulled the blanket over her face. "No, no more sleep, wake up otherwise you will get late for your college" Reema bi said removing the blanket from her face and she sat up on the bed yawning like a baby and stretching her arms while a beautiful smile formed on her lips with the dimples appearing on her cheeks which made her look adorable.
"Good morning Reema bi" she mumbled walking towards Reema bi who was picking out a dress for her and felt her arms wrapping around her from behind. "Good morning baby" Reema bi said with the same gesture and kissed her side head lovingly. "God bless you child"
"God already blessed me with your presence in my life and filling the empty spot of the mother," Shanaya said, still hugging her tightly by side. She is a mother figure for Shanaya and she loves her no less than a mother as if only she didn't give her birth but raised her as her daughter. Reema bi also has the same affection and love for her. She no less loves her than her daughter. "Get freshen up, I will arrange the breakfast," Reema bi said and walked out.
After taking shower she came out of the washroom wearing a full sleeve white t-shirt that perfectly fitted her body and teamed up with high-waisted dark blue jeans. She dried her hair and left them open waving in the air and applied a little amount of moisturizer and a lip balm. Her face was devoid of any makeup, she is a natural beauty. After wearing her sneakers and picking up her bag she was ready for college.
"Where is dad?" Shanaya asked as she looked around and found the empty dining table. "Sir left for the office because something came up and he asked me to inform you" Reema bi informed her.
She sighed looking at the empty chair of her father. ''Dad had told me he would be having breakfast with me at least but again he left early for the office" She pouted looking at the dishes placed on the table and lost her appetite.
"He will be present at dinner. Don't be upset and eat your breakfast" Reema bi said when she noticed her picking on her food. Shanaya nodded nonetheless and started eating her food. She demanded her father to eat breakfast with her at least as he was busy nowadays with his loaded work and couldn't give his time to her. But he failed to fulfil her demand.
She has a habit of eating with her father at least once a day no matter what. She always wants to have a meal with her father but for the past few days, he was too busy to be present at home. He would leave early in the morning before breakfast and would come home later after she slept.
After having her breakfast she picked up her bag and left for her college but not before pecking Reema bi on the cheek.

While on the other side of the city the morning was not the same as beautiful for someone. The chirping sound of the birds coming from the balcony had already irked him. He was in his room sleeping on his king-size bed, lying by his stomach shirtless only in his trousers. His torso was covered with the black-coloured duvet while his upper naked body was giving a perfect view of his biceps. The half duvet was lazily hanging on the edge of the bed.
The sun rays harshly scratched his face, earning a groan from his throat while his eyes shut tightly on their own accord. After the business trip in Ontario, he arrived in India last midnight and was tired as hell with the jet lag.
His phone rang at the same time, and now who dares to disturb his sleep wished for death. His messy hair was lustily sticking on his forehead making him look hot in his dishevelled look.
Grabbing his phone from the nightstand "bark" he roared in his hoarse voice making the man shiver on the phone call while his eyes were still closed. "S...sir, I have sent you all the information about her '' the person replied with a shuttering voice, his eyes shot open after registering the words.
He sat on the bed removing the blanket from his body, as sleep had just washed off from his eyes. Tiredness long forgotten, sleep long forgotten. On a cue, his facial structure was rigid. "Anything more?" His cold demanding voice came out laced with a serious note. "No Sir," that man replied instantly, not wanting to piss off his boss, a beeping sound could be heard on the other side as he hung up the call.
Walking towards the balcony of his room, he stood by resting his arms on the railings of the balcony, watching the beautiful scenery of Mumbai city in the early morning. The muscles of his broad shoulder flexed visibly with his half-naked body.
His mind drifted into deep thoughts which was not helping much with his anger the more he thought his vengeance came tenfold. His veins popped on his arms when his grip tightened on the railings. His knuckles turned white with the force he was clutching the railings, his jaw clenched and eyes burned with rage. The only thing resonating in his mind was 'revenge' and he vowed to make the person pay for the sin.
He would have made his comeback last week only if the urgent meeting in Ontario hadn't needed his attention. It took his whole week on a business trip from the US to Canada and after sealing the deal with other business delegates he flew to India. He runs a famous top listed company RM holdings in real Estate but now he is planning to expand his business in India. This was what everyone knows but the hidden motive is still under the veil.
Turning on the faucet he stood under the shower, water was cascading down drenching his well-built muscular body. The water was cold still it didn't cool down the burning flame inside his heart. After taking the shower he wrapped the towel around his torso and walked out of the bathroom while wiping his wet hair with another towel.
He walked into his walk-in closet where all his clothes were hanging neatly in closets of one of the glass walls, most of his clothes were either black or grey and even white also. In front, there was a wall-length mirror and his expensive limited edition watches, cufflinks and ties were categorized perfectly in glass drawers beside the mirror. His branded and exclusive shoes were placed in another closet. Walking inside he picked out a grey tuxedo with brown coloured shoes and his expensive watch.
The midday sun streamed through the cafe window, casting a warm glow on the table where Shanaya and Amaira sat, their lunch forgotten as a serious conversation unfolded. Shanaya, her brow furrowed with concern, leaned forward, her gaze fixed on her friend. Amaira, her face pale and drawn, fidgeted with her straw, avoiding Shanaya's gaze. "No," she finally said, her voice barely a whisper, "I don't want Mom to be involved in this. I'll handle it on my own." Shanaya could see the tension in Amaira's shoulders, the way her fingers gripped the table, a clear sign of the turmoil within."But Amaira," Shanaya protested, her voice laced with worry, "this isn't something you can handle alone. It's been happening for months now, and it's getting worse. You can't just ignore it." She paused, trying to find the right words, the right tone. "If you don't want to talk to your Mom, that's fine, but we have to inform the police. This is serious, Amaira, we can't just let it go."Shanaya watched as
Next day;Avyaansh emerged from the meeting room, a shadow of weariness etched across his face. Tarun walked beside him, his voice a steady hum of updates. "The designs are in, sir," Tarun said, his fingers tapping the screen of his iPad.Avyaansh nodded, "Keep an eye on it, Tarun," he instructed, his voice low and clipped. "And reschedule my meeting with the shareholders this week." He draped his coat over the stand beside his desk, a sigh escaping his lips as he sank into his chair. "Sir, the annual press conference is being held on the 28th of this month in Los Angeles," Tarun continued, undeterred by Avyaansh's quiet intensity. "I've arranged your tickets and your stay at the hotel." Avyaansh finally looked up, his brow furrowing. "28th alright," he murmured, his fingers drumming a staccato rhythm on the desk. “You and Natasha attend this conference this year,” Avyaansh said and opened the lid of his laptop. "Any updates from Oberoi Enterprises?” He asked while his eyes were glu
A shuddering breath escaped his lips as he rubbed his palm across his face, trying to wipe away the overwhelming emotions that threatened to consume him. His eyes, red and swollen from the battle against tears, betrayed him as a single drop escaped, trailing down his cheek like a silent companion. He stared at the divorce papers clutched in his hands, the ink of her signature glaring back at him. She left the city without any traces behind. The ache in his chest deepened with each passing day, a gnawing reminder of the love that had once filled their lives. He knew he didn't deserve her forgiveness, but still, the least he could do was give her the peace she needed. He understood now that love sometimes meant letting go, and if she truly wished to part ways, he would honor her decision, even if it shattered him. The weight of his guilt was a constant companion, reminding him of the wounds he had inflicted on her heart, the way he had carelessly played with her emotions as if they we
Seven months later;Avyaansh sat in his swivel chair, engrossed in his presentation as the soft hum of the office surrounded him. Just then, Natasha walked in, a curious smile on her face. “How’s the presentation coming along?” she asked, settling into the chair across from him. “Almost there,” he replied, his eyes glued to the screen, focused on the task at hand.So many things have changed in these seven months. He has grown a thick beard, which adds a rugged charm to his appearance, and the eye bags under his eyes have become more prominent, hinting at long nights spent contemplating the challenges ahead. His aura now exudes a more dominating presence than before. But his eyes have softened, revealing a depth of understanding and empathy that was previously masked by his stern demeanor. The Avyaansh of the past, who once found the constant smiling of others annoying, has transformed remarkably. He now smiles more often, a genuine expression that reflects his acceptance of change and
“I started working as your nanny when you were just five years old. You were a timid child, hesitant to warm up to strangers. However, it didn't take long for me to encourage you, and soon you began to form a bond with me. There came a time when I had to leave my job to look after my brother when he fell ill. But when I received the call saying you fell sick and missing me, I rushed back to you without hesitation. Since then, I've been living here with you. All this time, I believed your mother had passed away, as I had been told. Not once did I suspect that you weren't his real daughter.” Reema Bi said the last part with a frown, sitting on the bed, gently stroking Shanaya's hair as she lay with her head in her lap.“Even I didn't imagine in my worst nightmare of him being a murderer of my parents and pretending to be a father figure all these years,” she sniffed and the tremble in her body didn't go unnoticed by Reema bi who felt a tug in her heart. “He showed so much love and care l
The commotion from outside echoed through the opulent halls as Ryan dashed inside, the guards followed closely behind him with weapons, cladded in a black suits with earpieces on ears, their faces set in grim determination. The guards stood behind Avyaansh, waiting for his command to spring into action. Reluctantly, he broke the embrace that held him captive against his will. Standing beside Shanaya, he intertwined his fingers with hers and ordered the guards. “Take him to my warehouse and call the doctor to treat his wounds. He should be healed enough to take my wrath. He souldn't just die so easily,”He glanced at Shanaya from the corner of his eye, but she remained impassive, even after hearing his plans for Rajeev, she didn't show any reaction which he was expecting. Deep down, she had accepted the truth and recognized the real monster. Rajeev was no longer her concern. How Avyaansh chose to make him pay was not her business anymore.Everyone around her had only fed her lies—wheth
While they were standing aiming their guns against each other. There was a commotion at the entrance that drew Rajeev's attention and he went alert. Avyaansh smirked looking at Rajeev's blanched face losing its colors. Ryan has already surrounded the mansion with their guards. Outside, the armed men surged forward like a dark tide, their movements swift and calculated. They spread out around the mansion, a well-coordinated assault aimed at dismantling Rajeev's defenses. The guards, once confident in their numbers, now found themselves outmatched, falling one by one to the relentless onslaught. The sharp crack of gunfire punctuated the air, mingling with the shouts of men caught in the throes of battle. Each confrontation was brutal and swift; the sound of bodies hitting the ground echoed through the mansion. Neil, battered and bruised, slowly rose from the ground, the metallic taste of blood lingering on his lips. He wiped the crimson streak from his mouth with a shaky hand. With ea
Shanaya's world shattered in an instant. The foundation of her reality crumbled beneath her feet. She felt a surge of anger and confusion, mixed with a deep sense of grief. How could the person she thought was her father turned out to be the devil? The weight of the truth settled upon her like a ton of bricks, and she felt as if the ground beneath her was crumbling. Her mind raced, trying to process the implications of what she had just learned. The once familiar and safe image of her father had been shattered, replaced by a dark and sinister reality.Shanaya's tears swelled, blurring her vision, she found herself engulfed in a sea of emotions - a tumultuous mix of anger, confusion, and heartbreak. The room seemed to constrict around her, suffocating her with its oppressive weight, making it hard to breathe. Her legs trembled as she approached the man holding a gun in his hand. Avyaansh stood facing Rajeev, who ominously aimed a gun at him. Shanaya, despite her trembling legs, walke
Flashback;Harsh was returning with his family from their delightful vacation in Switzerland. As they emerged from the airport, his chauffeur was already waiting with the sleek car. He gently held little Shanaya in his arms, her eyelids heavy with sleep. Taking the keys, he dismissed the driver and settled into the driver's seat. The car glided away as the night drew closer. "Mumma, I wan ish cleam,"(I want ice cream) three-year-old Shanaya uttered in her adorable, gibberish voice, Her big, expressive brown eyes gazed out of the window. "Darling, you already had two ice creams before the flight; it's not good for you, you might catch a cold," her mother gently told her, causing Shanaya to pout and glance at her dad with her big brown eyes as if bribing her father. Seated on her mother's lap, Shanaya looked up at Harsh as he was driving the car, focusing on the road. "Daddy, I wann ish cleam," Shanaya insisted, tugging at her father's shirt. "Alright, sweetheart, we'll be there in no
