It pissed him enough when he got a call right before he picked up Iris to have their first date and his first attempt to make Iris on board with his decision to get a contract marriage.

He got a call from his Baltimore office. There are some mix-ups and it needed his attention soon. That was why he needed to change his plan and made a detour.

And now they were settling in his Baltimore penthouse. He did not intend this to happen in this place, but he got blindsided and Iris straightway refused him on the plane, so he need another backup plan.
