Chapter 53

AIDEN

"Selena," I yelled as I brought my head out of the water, I couldn't see her, I dived back in and I found her struggling to swim to the surface, I couldn't tell if she couldn't swim or if the shock had stopped her from being able to swim to the surface.

I grabbed her by the waist pulling her up as we breathed out heavily. She held on to me tightly, her face darkened and then it dawned on me that it wasn't shock, she couldn't swim.

"Calm down, you are going to drag us back in," I pleaded as I felt myself going back in against my control and my stitches ripping apart with her tight grip.

"You are bleeding," she yelled as the pool water was turning red. She instantly let go of me as she sank into the water struggling yet again to swim, I dived in pulling her back up as I groaned in pain.

I tried to swim forward but I felt my stomach tearing apart instead, as we both struggled to stay afloat. When she had pulled me in, I had tried to pull her back but it was already too late.
