Something jumped out of the woods, and my heart almost stopped.

‘Ace!’ I scolded as I jumped back in fear before realizing who it was.

Ace jumped toward me and started to headbutt me, pushing me back to make me laugh and give up on the anger. I nipped at his neck with my canines playfully, making him fall back.

He started to run and I ran with him. This time he was a lot slower so it was easy for me to catch up with him.

‘When we saw you before we got to know you were Alessio, you did not have any scent. But now I can sniff your scent clearly. How did you do that?” I asked curiously.

‘Used a potion before coming to see you,” Ace smirked cheekily, “we usually use it on warriors to hide scent from opponents.’

‘Wow, so I was a warrior level emergency for you?’ I giggled.
