CHAPTER 4

Madame Poly led us back to the front door of their home. She went out and got the potions that Aunt Louisa had requested, and she didn't let us see a single one of them.

“Do you understand, Avy, that if you try to look at the potions, you will suffer a horrible consequence?” I, of course, nodded.

“We will do as you request, Madame Poly. Thank you very much for these. We shall forward your greetings to Aunt Louisa.” She gave a single nod and smile.

“We'll depart right now. Thank you for your kindness.” We did the same, Tristan added as he bent his head. We stood straight again after waiting for Madame Poly's signal. Thankfully, Madame Poly's daughter was not present; I never want to hear her cringing voice again.

We wore the cloak Madame Poly had given us. She advised us to wear these if we were heading to Tauru's place. I'm not sure why, but it will be my first time there. Madame Poly has just told us to go see Tauru because he has something for us.

However, how many times have these two gentlemen beside me been there due of their weapon trades with Tauru. Tauru is a big man, 6'7 in height, with a long stubble beard that he constantly keeps trimmed, deep dark eyes, and a wrinkled forehead due to his age. He has a round face and his hair is styled in a man-bun hairstyle. He has a hook-nose and small lips. It made me think of Tauru as a hottie when he was younger.

“Does it weigh a lot, Avy?” Havoc wondered, referring to Madame Poly's basket of potions and ingredients. I made a shaky motion with my head. I'm guessing the basket weighs close to a pound. It's not all that heavy.

“I can handle.”

We arrived to Ahvaz's residence after a few minutes of walking. The three-story building is simple grey in color, with a large sign of “Μεγάλoς Ταύρου” that means Great Tauru. With their swords facing and laying downward, two massive standing guys guard the entryway. They're also somewhat bulky, if I may say so.

After a few minutes of strolling, we arrived at Ahvaz's residence. The three-story building is a plain grey tone with a large sign of “o” that means Great Tauru. Two enormous standing men keep guard at the entryway, their swords facing and lying downward. They're also quite large, if I may say so.

“What brings you here?” The man on the right inquired. Oh, look at that expression. He's the one searching for a fight, not me.

“We are from the house of Ahvaz. You already know me and my other companion.” Havoc stated.

He cocked his head and looked at me, as if studying me. “We've never seen anything like this person before. “Who is she, and who dispatched her?”

“She-” I cut Tristan off. I stood straights and faced them confidently.

“My name is Apharryll Weliche, and I am a wizard from the family of Ahvaz. Tauru was said to have something planned for us, which is why we came here. Now, if you don't mind, please allow us the opportunity to speak with him.”

Havoc and Tristan sighed. What now?

“I’m sorry. Our lady here so-”

The second man came to a halt in front of Tristan. “This person has a lot of courage. Do you realize what kind of trouble you're trying to cause?” He took a step forward.

“I have no idea, but surely I can fight.”

“Avy!” I rolled my eyes.

“Sir, please don’t mind her—”

We were taken aback when they both laughed. They were laughing so hard. “Damn, Fotio, look at this lady. All brave and fierce.”

“I believe, brother. I had no idea the Ahvaz was concealing a true combatant inside their mansion.” They laughed once more. What in the world is funny?

Finally, when they were satisfied, they came to a halt and smiled. Fotio, as the other called him, cleared his throat. “Please, please come in. I'll call our brother, Tauru, specifically for you, kyria mou.”

When they opened the door, I was surprised to see how many people were inside. The majority of them are dressed in cloaks, while others are dressed in the same fabric as the men protecting outside.

“While you're here, please stop from staring at or even checking out the other visitors, as you did earlier to us, kyria mou. We value the privacy of those who enter this building.” As said by Fotio. I quickly did what he instructed. However, I can sense a lot of people's gazes on me from within. I'm aware of it, and I'm aware that someone is staring at me.

Tristan and Havoc rushed over to me and encircled me with their bodies. They must have seen the stares I'm getting.

“Is this the first time that you had a girl visitor inside your building?” I asked.

“Of course not, kyria mou. We're expecting a large number of female soldiers. However, you are the first lady who made a lasting impression on us, and everyone inside heard how brave you were to say your full name.”

I was surprised. Is that why Havoc didn't tell us our names? It's because everyone inside can hear who's outside and if somebody is approaching. Is it really...that way? I firmly closed my eyes, especially when I heard a voice from outside.

“What is your purpose of coming here?”

“I am here to buy weapons.”

One thing is certain. I just committed a terrible blunder. People were still staring at us as we walked towards the stairway, or perhaps they were just staring at me and thinking about how brave I am. Avy is in such a state that she doesn't even know where to put her guts.

“You must have realized by now why everyone is staring at you. Oh, my good lord. That was a record-breaking moment for you.” My mouth twitched.

“Stop talking!” I let out a hiss. My pupils dilated once again. Avy, you're serious! Aunt Louisa will undoubtedly bombard you with rants once you return home. My wretched soul will be shredded afterwards.

We made it to the third story, and Fotio opened the door for us. He told us to sit on the couch and wait for Tauru to come out of his room. Tauru's room is certainly appropriate for a true fighter. It is dark, yet there is a magical torch all around that has lit up the place. There are statues and sculptures built from various creature parts that Tauru must have defeated during his wars.

His table is made of a solid wood that costs a fortune; this is the type of wood that wealthy Darkotans use as the foundation of their homes. Perhaps he is that wealthy. That makes sense if he has all those huge customers down there buying weapons that must be expensive.

I stared at the window in front of me as the wind blew inside. I smiled, that’s refreshing.

“Oh, what a beautiful day!” When I looked around, Tauru had already closed the door behind him. “I was informed that you would be visiting my humble abode, but I had no idea it would be so soon.”

We rose from our seats and waited for Tauru to approach us. We take a bow before speaking. “Good afternoon, Tauru.”

“Good afternoon, ble draco kyria.
