Worry

After they had finished eating, Logan entered the dining area and gave Axel, who was stroking Violet's hair, a slender smile.

"Boss, everything is prepared." Logan reported calmly.

"We will leave in the next two days, I want to have a little fun in this place." Axel said calmly without glancing at Logan who nodded slowly, bowed and walked out of the dining room.

"Violet, you haven't taken your bath neither have you brushed your teeth." Axel clicked his tongue as he spoke to her while she widened her eyes filled with guilt.

Axel laughed heartily. Actually, the naughty mouse believed that he was reprimanding her. He scolded himself mentally, unable to believe that he had stumbled upon an innocent person, an innocent person whom he would eventually perfect.

Although she was his and no one would dare to hurt her without saying their last prayers, he felt a little guilty that she was about to enter his world, which was a rough one.

"The maids will clean you up and help you dress, I just need you to be a good girl." He whispered and pulled her nose.

"Okay," Violet smiled brightly and nodded.

"I will be back naughty mouse, I don't want to hear that you cried to chase the maids away again." He told her and poked her nose gently.

"Okay," Violet said and nodded again.

"Good mouse" He chuckled deeply.

Theo walked into the dinning room as if he was being called and bowed at Axel who nodded at him and stood up.

"I am going to go take care of something with Logan, make sure the maids clean her up." He then grinned and left the dining room after turning to face the adorable girl who was staring at him with wide eyes.

Violet scowled in displeasure, got to her feet, and turned to face Theo, who was waving and smiling brightly at her.

"Time to get clean, don't worry, Axel will be back" She slowly nodded as he told and reassured her.

After being returned to her room, Violet found maids waiting for her. Immediately, she glared angrily at them.

The boss's mate, who was responsible for sending the previous maids to an early grave that morning, was known to the maids. They promised to treat her as gently as they could because they didn't want to perish.

"If she complains of anything, you will know your fate." Theo told them firmly before leaving the room.

Before turning to look at Violet, who was glaring at them as if she were about to launch at them, the maids muttered anxiously and glanced at each other.

"It's time to bath dear," One of the maids said smiling brightly at Violet.

"Please go away," Violet said angrily and sat on the bed.

The maids exchanged frustrated glances with one another. They had no idea how to care for her and give her a bath without coercing her. They were enraged by her childlike behaviour.

Suddenly, a maid with a bright smile approached Violet, who was still scowling.

"You should bath and look pretty for the boss so that he will happy to see you." She said with a calm voice and simple expression.

Violet's eyes expanded with anticipation. "Really?" She got up and happily inquired.

The maids were relieved when Violet was successfully cared for. They gave her a bath, clothed her, and encouraged her to eat more food.

Axel walked into the mansion. His striking aura and harsh demeanour belied his beauty. When they entered the main room, Axel stopped walking and turned to face Logan, who was walking behind him and appeared worried. Logan immediately bowed his head in submission.

"You don't have to get distracted, you don't have to get scared of anything. The warehouse was burnt, fire can kill you but you shouldn't fear it because it might not kill you, it would only leave scars." As he uttered his words vehemently, Axel's eyes changed into golden wolf-like eyes.

"I will try better next time, Jason must have found our main warehouse here in Florida, I have sent werewolves to track down those who set the fire." Logan reported and lifted his head.

Axel turned away as the sun began to set and threw a narrowing glance out the window, which was open and showed the ocean. "Good."

"I suggest we go back to New York early, so that we will lead those idiots away from our warehouses here." Logan suggested calmly.

"It will be like I am running and I don't run away from anything or anyone. I stand on my words, we will leave in two days time." Axel said sternly.

Logan sighed deeply and nodded. "Okay, I respect your words but about the girl..."

"Violet."

Logan eyes almost popped out of their sockets then he cleared his throat and inhaled deeply. "Violet."

Axel turned to face Logan, his eyes were still in their golden form and displeasure was evident on his face. "What about her?"

"I understand that she is your mate but her health... She lost all of her memories and is as dumb as a child, what are you going to do?" Logan asked nervously.

"Yes, she is as dumb as a child, she's my mate but she can also learn fast. She will start behaving like an adult as time goes." Axel replied and feigned a smile.

"Oh... That's actually a good thing but I am sure we can find her family and everything about her past." Logan said slowly.

"Do I look like i want her to remember anything? What if she was married to someone else? She is mine now."

Logan was amazed and delighted. Axel was overjoyed that he had found his mate, a partner who would make him happy. Logan couldn't help but worry that Violet would be targeted by Axel's enemies in order to get to him. 

"You don't have to worry," Axel placed his hand on Logan's shoulder. "Don't worry." He whispered and tapped Logan's shoulders them walked away, out of the room.

"I have no choice but to worry." Logan said, lowered his head and sighed deeply.
