Daciana glanced at the high priestess, hesitating at first before she brought her gaze back to Alan, who fluttered his eyelids with confusion as he cleaned his sleepy eyes with the back of his right hand.

Daciana bit her bottom lip before she smiled and lifted the boy off the ground, staring at the high priestess with an apologetic look.

"I have to put him to sleep. You guys wait for me outside, I'll be out in a few minutes."

They glanced at each other with hesitation at first before they all nodded, with Kellen stepping forward and pecking Alan on his forehead before he ruffled his hair.

The boy giggled as Kellen turned to Daciana. "We'll be right outside the palace waiting for you, okay? If we don't see you in thirty minutes, I'm coming here immediately."

She nodded with a small smile. "It wouldn't take me five minutes to put this troublemaker to sleep."
