Alicia’s POV“You kids had been through so much together,” Dad said. “And I can’t believe that I was trying to separate all of you.”I looked down and bit my bottom lip. “I don’t blame you, Dad. We should have told you both about everything before we even accepted this bond.”Adrian took my hand. “We should have– that was the right thing to do. We are sorry, but please, don’t send her away.” Adrian locked eyes with Dad, he looked like he would break into tears. “I–” Dad started and gulped. “I don’t think I have the right to do that anymore. It’s past that stage. You’ll get my blessings.”Mum looked up at Dad. “Richard, I think that’s the best thing to do– this is their destiny.”Dad nodded at her and smiled. I smiled at Adrian. A burst of joy filled my inside as I got the freedom I’d always wanted. Freedom to be with my mates. Adrian cupped my neck and kissed me in the lips, my eyes bulged out and I pushed him off. “Not in front of them,” I whispered to him.Mum smiled. “It’s fine.”
Alicia's POV“Where’s the damn ambulance?” I cussed as I followed the guards who pushed Alex out of the school’s premises. The ambulance still hadn’t arrived and Alex was losing so much blood. At this point, my heart was in my throat. “Maybe we should use our car to take him to the hospital. I’m freaking out.” Just then we heard the siren sound of the ambulance. It was approaching in the distance. “There it is, it’s coming!!” I yelled almost jumping. I faced Alex, his eyes were dim.“You’ll be fine, okay? The ambulance is here and it will get you to hospital soon, you’ll be fine.”He smiled. “I hope. I’m not healing, Alicia. It is sil–ver,” as his voice broke and he struggled to talk, I saw his tongue was turning purple. My eyes bulged out as I took his hand. “You are Alex, you can go through anything and I know that you will survive this too.”He grinned. “I love you.” “I lo–” my words were cut short when nurses flocked out to the ambulance and rushed him off the stretcher and carr
Alicia's POVAdrian turned to me and winked, pointing at Briana who was trying to escape out of the crowd. She was slipping back away from Alex's side, before I could get to her, Alex grabbed her arm and threw his hand over her shoulder, smiling.“Hey, Briana?” He asked, “Are you going somewhere?”Briana shook her head, grinning sheepishly. “No. Of course not.”She slipped her hand into her purse and just as she pulled out her phone to drop it on the floor, Alex grabbed it.“I'll help you to give this.” He said and handed it out to the guard behind them. “This belongs to Briana.” Alex said and handed out his phone too.I nodded at Adrian and we went to stand behind Alex and Briana, our eyes on her so she wouldn't move an inch.“I want to go and ease myself,” Briana said.I smirked, when she turned to leave and she saw me there. “I'm sorry but no one is allowed to leave.” I pointed at the exit points for her and she saw the security guards mounted there. She gulped, her hands were sha
Alicia’s POVI winked at Adrian and Alex who were pretending to be fighting. I rushed to the door and opened it up. She rushed in and saw Adrian throwing a fist at Alex that he dodged. “What are you both fighting for?” She screamed. Alex pushed Adrian against the wall and started to punch him in the stomach and then Adrian pushed Alex to Briana, and he fell on her, sending her to the floor. She pushed Alex off and ran away holding her leg. “Ouch!!!” She cried and I winked at Alex and Adrian as I rushed after her. “What’s wrong with them?” she asked as she breathed out heavily in the hallway. I sighed. “They had been fighting because Alex blamed me for the loss of your pup.”Briana paused, realizing she did act like someone who just lost a pup. She reached for her stomach as she bent over. I raised a brow watching her act in her drama. “Oh my goodness.” She cried out. “It was so painful, Alicia.”I nodded and parted her back. “You will be fine, I promise you that.” I touched her sho
Alicia's POV“Guys, please stop fighting.” I said as I tried to push Adrian away. Adrian didn’t move an inch, he was infuriated and ready to fight Alex. Goddess, I didn’t bargain for this drama- not after all I heard Briana say outside. That wretch was the cause of all these problems. I would make her pay, she would regret coming into our lives. “I don’t want to fight you, Adrian,” Alexs said. His head tilted a bit as he stared at me from behind Adrian. He tried to touch Adrian’s shoulder but Adrian shoved his hand off. “Don’t touch me with your filthy hand. Get out of this room and go meet your baby mama.” Alex gritted his teeth as rage flashed through his eyes. Why did his mood change suddenly at the mention of Briana, his baby mama?I had never seen that reaction from him before. What was going on? It was not anger towards Adrian and I but anger towards– Briana. It was like he was irritated at the mention of her name.“Adrian, I don’t want to fight with you– let me talk to Alicia
Alex's POV“I have to see Briana,” I uttered, parking my car. I nearly jumped out of the car after opening the door. I came home later than the others, because I stopped at the hospital to get some drugs for Briana.I reached the sitting room, Dad was seated on the sofa, with a magazine in his hand. “Good afternoon, Dad.” I greeted him as I passed.“Alex,” he called me. I halted. “Where are you going?” He asked. I raised the drugs I bought that were in a bag with a boldly printed hospital written on it. “Isn’t it obvious? Briana was hurt, so I went to get her some drugs. I am taking these to her.” I finished and turned to leave.“Stop it, Alex.” he stood up, and I paused again, my shoulder dropping. “What are you going to say again?” I asked. “Ermm. Give me that. Go to your room and I will come see you there.”I turned to him. “What?” I asked. “Why?” He looked away from me. A pang struck my chest and I went two steps closer to him. “Is Briana okay?” He smiled. “Yes, she is.” He rea
