Rushing up the stairs as soon as she arrived home from school, she was in a hurry, to say the least. Forgotten it was Monday. Nicole had first-period Algebra with Jason, of course. That wasn't her only run-in time with Jason and his little group. She had third period English, World History with Logan later, and her last period of the day, PE, with Parker. She only had two periods of the day where she could avoid Jason and his friends entirely. It was better than nothing, but right now Nicole was wishing she had much more time without them to spare. The remainder of the school day passed extra slowly for Nicole. Her mind couldn't stop spiralling for even a moment. By the time she trudged her way out the school doors, she was ready to crash. The warmth of her bed was a seducing thought—and she could not wait to finally be home, be at peace, and forget about all this day had to offer.
