Chapter 6

"What's the matter with my friend, sir?" said Vincent.

One of the cops led Vincent out of the classroom, while the other cop was asking Aldrich some questions. “Do you know Hugo Stein?”

“Ah, Hugo. We were in different classes, but I met him once,” Aldrich replied.

“Based on the information your teacher gave me, you fought with him two days ago. Is it true?"

“Hugo hit me, but I didn't retaliate. Can that be concluded as a fight?” Aldrich smiled as he stared sharply at the policeman in front of him.

"Okay, I understand then. Did you meet Hugo again after that?”

“In the school parking lot, that was the second time I saw him. So are you going to interrogate me? If not, I want to go home now," said Aldrich. A smile still graced his lips.

“We got a report from someone that you were previously in the same bar as the bar where Hugo was arrested. Indeed, there is no CCTV, so we are conducting this investigation.”

“Does that person have any other evidence that I was there?”

"Unfortunately, none."

Aldrich laughed loudly at the policeman's words. "Are you sure you're not listening to drunken bullshit? You are an officer, not a fiction writer. May I go now?”

The policeman felt annoyed mixed with shame due to his own mistakes which made his authority destroyed instantly. Aldrich was still staring at the policeman with a confidence that had not diminished in the slightest since earlier. Finally, he let Aldrich leave the class.

After arriving at the apartment, Aldrich threw his backpack on the sofa. Then he ransacked his entire living room into disorder. Some items fell to the floor, a few were broken.

Aldrich smiled sinisterly while thinking something in his mind.

“I will find you. Tonight you will sleep very soundly," Aldrich muttered.

Aldrich rushed to open the MacBook that was on his bedroom table. With agile fingers typing unique codes in software creation. Not long after, the official London police website appeared.

Do you know what Aldrich is doing?

After successfully logging in, he searched for data regarding the Hugo case. He easily got the name of the officer who received the call from the witness. Furthermore, he managed to get the history of phone recordings. Not only that, but he also got the witness identity file.

"Ah. No wonder you care so much about Hugo," Aldrich sneered.

Suddenly his cell phone rang from the living room. Aldrich took his cell phone which was in his backpack and picked it up without checking the caller's name.

"Hello, Cousin—" said Derrick.

"Derrick! Don't make me look for you and kill you right now," Aldrich hissed.

Derrick chuckled. "The person you are looking for is with me."

"What do you mean?"

"You were just looking for that girl, right? The girl who was a witness in the Hugo case."

"Don't touch the girl. Derrick. I'm not kidding," said Aldrich.

"You always say that. I'm not afraid of you Aldrich," Aldrich secretly tracked Derrick's location through his cell phone. But as soon as he found the point, Derrick cut the call unilaterally.

"Fuck!" he cursed.

Aldrich threw his cell phone on the sofa. He pulled his hair roughly and shouted. "Aaarrrgghh!!"

"Derrick! I must have found you."

The next day Aldrich came to school with a straight face. As usual, Vincent came to him by asking the questions that were on his mind. But Aldrich didn't respond as if he didn't hear Vincent's question.

Arriving in class, Aldrich immediately sat at his desk and put earphones in his ears. Until suddenly the class became quiet when the teacher came in, but the teacher was not alone. He was with a new student.

"Before starting the lesson. I brought a new student who will join our class," explained the teacher.

When Aldrich took off his earphones and looked at the front of the class. He was surprised to see the new student, but he quickly changed his face. Now he glared at the student who was currently about to introduce himself in front of all the students.

"Hi. I'm Derrick Carrington. Nice to meet you," he said.

"Oh. Carrington? Are you from the same family as Aldrich?—" asked the Teacher.

"No. I don't know him," Aldrich interrupted.

Aldrich glared at Derrick. He gave a hint from the look in his eyes that he wanted to talk to Derrick. When Derrick got an empty seat, Derrick asked permission to go to the toilet. Not long after, Aldrich was allowed to go to the toilet as well.

Just before reaching the toilet, Aldrich grabbed Derrick's hand and teleported to the school's rooftop. Aldrich grabbed Derrick's neck on the roof barrier.

"Where's the girl?" growled Aldrich.

"Kill me. Then that girl will spread valuable information from me," Derrick threatened.

"What do you want? A hiding place? I'll give you my address in Italy. As long as you bring the girl to me. Tonight, we'll meet at the Stadium near the Detention Center."

"Okay. I'll be there. But, don't try to lie to me."

Aldrich lowered Derrick from the top of the rooftop barrier. Then they walked down to the floor where their class was. Derrick arrived first in the classroom. Then Aldrich followed him.

That night, the sky was overcast and looked very dark. Aldrich drove his Ferrari fast through the crowds of London. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel so that his veins could be seen.

Entering the Stadium, a smile grew on Aldrich's lips to see Derrick already inside. He was with a girl with brown hair.

Aldrich stopped his car and walked over to Derrick. He gave a brown map to Derrick. "This is a file regarding the house."

Derrick accepted it, then immediately handed the girl over to Aldrich. Derrick read the file in his hand and didn't realize one thing.

Aldrich gave in too easily to him. Aldrich was not that type of person.

When Aldrich got into the car with the girl. A group of men catch Derrick and incapacitate him. A man who looked aged approached Aldrich's car. "What reward are you asking for?"

"Just take good care of your kid. You're lucky I didn't kill him," replied Aldrich. The girl beside him inched away from Aldrich.

"I'll kill you first if you dare to hurt him," snapped the old man.

"Tsk. I don't want to argue with an old man like you." Aldrich stepped on the gas pedal leaving the Stadium very quickly.

In the car, Aldrich could see the look of terror on the girl's face. "You know who I am?"

The girl could only shake her head. Aldrich drove his car towards the forest which was quite far from the City. He scared the girl even more so she begged not to be killed.

"You should have thought about that before reporting to the police," Aldrich quipped.

Arriving in the forest, Aldrich pulled the girl's hand roughly out of the car. Walking a few steps, Aldrich suddenly cornered the girl against a large tree and bit her neck.

Because the pain was so unexpected, the girl couldn't scream. She just opened her mouth as if screaming, but no sound came out. Her eyes were wide open. Her hands tried to push Aldrich away, but her strength was not comparable to Aldrich's.

bruk.

The girl lay on the ground with a cold body. The girl is dead. Aldrich left the girl's body in the darkness of the forest.
