Cornered

John finished telling Bonnie and Eliza the details of the great storm years ago in Pierview.

“I can’t believe it,” Eliza said. “We have to tell Taylor about this immediately!”

“That might have to wait,” Bonnie said as the laser beams over the door retracted. Three Kaiju crept in and cornered John, Bonnie, and Eliza.

“Any ideas on how to get out of this would be accepted, John,” Eliza said.

The creatures slowly slunk closer and closer to the prisoners. A cloud of dark purple electricity blindsided them. Suddenly, the creatures clutched their heads in pure agony.

“What’s going on?” Bonnie asked and looked around.

“I’m not quite sure,” John said. “But the beams are still down and we can escape.”
