Chapter 7

Xander placed his newspaper down and looked at Lana calmly.He did nothing; said nothing but Lana felt scared .This was one of the many times she realized that Xander was a dangerous man .The only person he was calm and gentle was Ella and not her , what made her retort him in such a way ?

"Not my concern, then whose concern is it ? " asked Xander sarcastically .

His gaze had gotten even colder ; Lana didn't realized it but In Xander 's mind he was certain that his wife was hiding a man from him .

Lana heart was almost in her throat when she saw the chilling look Xander threw her way but she still collected her strength and nodded " I know you hate me ; With our marriage you had no other option ; you could only fulfill your Grandpa 's wish .But I know I'm not the woman in your heart , Elder master King , you cannot expect me to be loyal to you when you yourself are not setting a clear example , while I do not comment on your Ex girlfriend and lover coming in and out of house that doesn't mean that other's dont .Because of your willful actions my reputation in the higher socialites is in shreds ; You want me to tell you with whom I met but what about you have I ever asked what you do when you meet with your lover,.Elder master King its true that you let Miss Rohodes wrong , but what about me ? you never explained your situation to me , you only told me about Miss Rhodes once we got married , then don't you think you owe me too?" 

Lana was scared she was really scared but she still kept her voice steady , her speech was gentle and affluent but it deeply shook both Xander 's and Abel 's heart .

Xander looked at Lana and for the first time he realized that Lana never confronted him on Ella's matter, every time Ella came to their house Lana would either go out or shut herself in her room , she never pried in his life .

"You.." Xander wanted to say something but a soft voice interrupted him .

"Xander" Ella called Xander intimately ,as for Lana who was Xander 's wife called him Elder master King.

"Why are you here?" For the first time in his life Xander felt annoyed by Ella's untimely arrival .Lana was right , they were married yet he allowed His past lover to visit him in their matrimonial home , what kind of rumours might be flying around? Xander who paid so much thought on the pride of the future matriarch of King Family , realized that he himself shredded the pride Lana has .

Lana might be temporary but she was still his wife , his actions was really too careless .

He wanted to explain to Lana that he and Ella weren't lovers anymore and won't be unless he divorces her but before he could Ella arrived.

"I got ticket for the latest Opera! and I even booked a table at Lili's ! You know how hard it is to book a table for at that restaurant!" Ella pouted and chidded Xander coyishly .

Lana felt goosebumps rise in her body ;Abel felt an urge to vomit even Xander felt that Ella 's actions were getting more and more out of hands .Yes; He allowed her to visit him but only because he felt guilty , he thought that he let Ella down thus he tried to make up to her but didn't he let Lana down too? 

"I will be going then " Lan didn't want to spend even a moment with Xander and Ella therefore she rushed out . Xander wanted to call out to her but Ella stopped him .

"Xander ; Am I not welcome here anymore ?" Ella who was smiling like a flower a moment ago suddenly started to sob .

Watching her cry Xander could not say anything 

"No , she was just in rush .She had a meeting scheduled" trying to placate Ella ; Xander spoke truthfully .

"Oh , is she meeting her friend do you know them? Xander even if you and her are married for convenience don't let Her to bring shame to King household .Xander , I'm really worried, what if she meets with a guy . Won't your family be ashamed?" 

Ella spoke quite gently .

She spoke in such a way as if she was genuinely worried about Lana , she felt that the nicer she was to Lana the more Xander would believe her but this time her move was wrong .Xander who was just scoldee by Lana for being a busybody frowned .

What did Ella meant by this , if she was so worried about King family reputation why didn't she reduced her visit in his house? Infact her visits seems to have increased in the past few months . For the first time Xander saw Ella in a diffrent light .

Lana who rushed out of her house had no idea that Xander started to use his EQ after her scolding . She caught a bus and made her way to XY road .

At the end of the street , a rundown shop stood .Its windows were boarded up and the interior was filled with cardboard boxes .When Lana pushed the door open a young man came rushing out .

"We are shutting down; " The young man was quite rude 

"Mike ; don't be rude " an old man in his late fifty's , chided The young man . This man was Remus , her father's rival. A few years ago he was a talented business man . His business was booming but then her father made him lose everything .The reason Lana chose Remus was because this man was really honest . If he was scheming like her father than he would still be a rich business man .

"Miss, we are closing down " spoke Remus gently .

"I'm not here to buy , I'm here to sell " 

"Didn't you hear it , we are closing down! What buy what sell !" Mike was a second generation rich heir; if not for those dark schemes, he would still be rich ! He got poor but his temper was still the same as ever .

"Mr .Remus would you please listen?" Lana ignored Mike and spoke directly to Remus .

Remus looked at Lana's shining eyes and confident aura ; he couldn't understand it but she made him feel secure .Before he knew it he nodded .

Lana smiled but Mike scowled and shouted at his father but Remus ignored Him and invited Lana inside .

"Miss please speak your mind " Remus was a straightforward person therefore he didn't like to waste even a minute .

"I heard you are bankrupt but I have some designs, I hope you can see them .I cannot help you to clear your debt but I hope my designs can help you " Lana didn't beat around the bush As well and spoke clearly ; she told them that she cannot pay them , they have to pay for the expenses on their own .

"Nonsense! we are already head first in debt! how can we ask for more loan!" Mike refused at once he wouldn't allow his father to increase his debts .

"Mike !, your design please Miss " Remus warned Mike and asked Lana for her designs. He wouldn't make a decision without understanding what he was getting into .

Lana nodded but only showed a single design , this design was of a really exquisite jade hairpin. It had a delicate rose made on top of it with a single small butterfly wing on its left , two blue diamonds were hanging by its side with silver beads string , with a even more smaller rose on its end .

Remus was stunned the jade hairpin was so beautiful he had no words to praise it , even Mike was stunned . 

"Miss?" 

"I have more designs but I cannot show it without the contract signing; I can give you two days , you and your family can think about it afterall you guys will be taking risks with me " With that Lana stood up to leave but Remus stopped her .

"No wait , Miss let's sign .let me see the contract " 

Remus wasn't stupid ; he knew that Lana didn't show him her best work instead she showed him only her most average work . If her average design was so beautiful ; then what about her most finest work? 

"Alright" Lana agreed

her contract she was made beneficial for both the party thus Remus and Lan agreed at once , even though Mike protested that 50 -50 per cent of sharing their earnings was unfair because he and his family was the one who were taking the most risks but Remus silenced him with his glare .

Once the contract signing was finished Lana explained Remus the selling strategy; only fifty pieces will be made of every design and those who buyed it earlier will have to pay less however who ordered from them later on will need to pay whatever price Remus 's family set for them

Remus agreed with Whatever Lana said and sent her off with a very respectful attitude .
