ARIEL’S POV
I slept with two men in one night.
The worst part?
They had the same face.
And now… I’m pregnant.
The pregnancy test trembled in my hand.
Two red lines.
I stared again, hoping they would disappear.
They didn’t. Still two red lines. Unforgiving. Final.
My chest tightened.
“No… this can’t be real.”
The hospital smelled like antiseptic and fear. The harsh lights made my shame impossible to hide.
My hand went to my stomach. Flat. Silent. But now… something was growing inside me.
Alive. Undeniably real.
I replayed that night like a broken nightmare. Two faces. Two identical men. Two wolves… wearing the same face.
“Which one of you is the father?” I whispered into the quiet hospital room.
Behind me, my mother's chair scraped softly.
“Ariel, sit down,” she said gently. “You’re shaking.”
I snapped.
“Why are you even here? You just had surgery two months ago!”
She looked fragile, calm, pale.
“I’m your mother,” she replied softly.
Evana, my best friend, stood near the door, arms folded, eyes cold.
“You really planned to hide this forever? I told your mother everything. She knows now.”
Rage exploded in me.
“Evana, what did you do?!”
“She needed to know that the surgery money came from you,” Evana said calmly.
My mother’s eyes filled with quiet pain.
“So… you planned to keep something this big from me, Ariel?”
“I didn’t sell myself,” I whispered, voice cracking.
Evana snorted.
“One million dollars for one night with a stranger sounds exactly like selling.”
I shot her a murderous look. “Shut up!”
Silence fell. Heavy. Suffocating.
I pressed my hands to my face.
“Moon Goddess… I can’t afford this disgrace.”
I stumbled toward the window. The cold glass pressed against my fingers. Six floors down, the world looked small.
If I fell… the shame would disappear. And the tiny life inside me would never have to carry this mistake.
“Ariel, what are you doing?!” my mother shouted.
“Don’t you dare!” Evana yelled.
I swallowed hard.
“If I fall… everything disappears. I just… want the hurt to stop.”
Hands grabbed me. Nurses, Evana. I slumped back onto the hospital bed.
“Ariel, come to your senses! It’s not as bad as you think!” Evana scolded.
One of the nurses spoke sharply.
“Stay still before you hurt yourself.”
Footsteps approached the door—slow, deliberate. The handle turned.
I lifted my head. The doctor stepped in first, avoiding my eyes.
“Doctor?” I whispered. No response.
Then the door opened wider and footsteps approached. Slow. Measured.
Two men entered.
Both are tall. Both terrifyingly identical.
Lucian Drake.
Adrian Drake.
Two men wearing the same face but living different storms.
Lucian’s blue eyes were winter. Six-foot-three, tattoos climbing his arms, danger clung to him.
Adrian stood beside him.
Same height.
Same sharp jaw.
Same blue eyes and perfectly styled silver hair.
But his posture was controlled. Danger hidden beneath calm luxury.
His expensive black suit fit perfectly.
A silver watch reflected hospital light.
The moment their eyes met, the air seemed to darken.
Danger hung between them.
Predatory.
Lucian’s tattooed arms moved slightly as he crossed them.
“You came here thinking my child might be yours?” A quiet, dangerous laugh followed. “Funny.”
Adrian’s expression didn’t change. Not even slightly.
“You appeared exactly where I did,” Adrian replied calmly. Too calmly. “And let me be clear… that child is mine.”
Lucian’s jaw tightened; a muscle ticked in his cheek.
The room felt smaller.
Like two wolves were deciding who would survive.
My head swam as I watched them.
Something inside me screamed that if either of them moved wrong… someone would get hurt.
The doctor cleared his throat.
“Gentlemen…”
Neither man acknowledged him.
Their eyes stayed locked.
Not blinking.
Lucian spoke first.
“If you are lying, Adrian, I will make you regret breathing the same air as me.”
Adrian’s expression stayed controlled.
“If you touch her or the child before confirmation, I will bury you where no one will find you.”
My mother stepped weakly between them.
“Stop. This is a hospital.”
Adrian glared but stepped back.
Lucian hesitated.
Then he looked at me.
His gaze moved down my body slowly…
And stopped at my stomach.
Adrian followed the same movement.
Silence pressed heavily against my chest.
The doctor cleared his throat.
“You’re eight weeks pregnant. There is another complication…”
My fingers trembled. “What complication?”
“The DNA results,” the doctor said slowly.
Lucian crossed his arms.
“Get to the point.”
“…The test shows both men share 99.9% identical DNA.” The doctor continued.
Adrian spoke quietly.
“Yes. We know.”
Lucian smirked.
“Identical twins. Not surprising.”
The doctor swallowed.
“But the baby’s DNA… matches both of you.”
The world froze.
“What?” I whispered.
Lucian’s voice was certain. “That’s my heir.”
Adrian stepped forward immediately.
“No.” His voice was calm but unbreakable. “She was with me that night.”
Their eyes locked.
Cold.
Violent.
Dangerous.
I stared at both of them, my vision feeling unstable.
“What are you talking about, Doctor?” My hands shook. “How can two men both be possible fathers?”
The doctor took a slow breath.
“Normally, even identical twins can be told apart through small genetic markers.”
He glanced nervously at the two men before continuing.
“But in your case… their Alpha genetics are completely mirrored.” He swallowed. “In all my years of practice, I’ve never seen anything like this before.”
I blinked.
Confusion clouded my mind.
“So… science can’t tell who the father is?”
He looked straight into my eyes.
“Biologically… either of them could be.”
Silence swallowed the room.
My heart pounded against my ribs, wild and painful.
Two of the most dangerous men in the city.
Two identical wolves locked in hatred.
And I…
Was carrying a child that belonged to two men who could never stand each other.
My hands shook.
I won’t let this happen.
“I don’t need either of you to claim my child!” I screamed.
Everyone stared at me in shock.
Then, suddenly, the hospital door creaked open slowly. Heavy footsteps enterd the room and a tall figure stepped out of the shadows.
My heart froze when I saw who it was.
His voice cut through the room like a blade.
“Never,” he said coldly, “will I allow this child to be born.”
His eyes locked onto my stomach.
“Over my dead body…”
LUCIAN’S POVThe blade sank in.I didn’t just feel it break skin—I felt something wrong.Adrian’s body—or whatever Ariel called him—jerked as my dagger drove into his side just beneath the ribs. His breath hitched, sharp and ragged, but his eyes… those eyes locked onto mine like I was the one who had just lost.“Not deep enough,” he murmured. My grip tightened instantly. “I’ll fix that.”I twisted the blade—but he moved. Too fast. No one that injured should move like that. His palm slammed into my chest, knocking me off balance. The dagger tore free from his body with a sickening sound, and before I could strike again, he was gone—running like he knew exactly where to go.Into my forest.A dark, dangerous mistake.“Run,” I muttered, already moving, my voice low and lethal. “This is my pack. Let’s see how far you make it.”The forest swallowed him whole—dense, silent, alive. Mine.Every path here carried my scent. Every shadow bent to my will. I have hunted here, ruled here. No one esc
ARIEL’S POV“Go inside, Ariel. You don’t want to see what happens next.”“No.”The word tore out of me before I could soften it. Before I could think. My body moved anyway—straight into Lucian’s path, like I had any real power to stop him. Like I could hold back whatever storm was building behind his eyes.My pulse thudded hard enough to make my vision flicker.“What is going on?” I demanded, my voice trembling despite my effort to steady it. “Was this planned? Is this some kind of sick joke to you both?”Lucian’s jaw tightened. For a fraction of a second—barely there—A flash of hurt. Restrained anger slipping through.“Ariel,” he said, quieter now, like he was forcing control back into himself, “move.”“No.” I dug my heels in harder. “Not until someone explains why there are two of you standing in front of me.”His hand closed around my wrist firm—possessive, too familiar.Heat shot up my arm, confusing and dangerous.“Inside,” he repeated, tugging me gently but insistently. Before I
ADRIAN’S POV“…It’s Sunpeak City.”The words barely left my mouth before she ran.“Ariel—wait!”She didn’t even slow down.Barefoot against wet pavement. Hair wild. Clothes clinging to her like they were barely holding on. She ran like the world was ending behind her… or like I was.“My mom!” she cried, voice breaking as she stumbled forward. “She’s alone. I need to go home!”“Ariel, stop. Listen to me.”“No!”She spun mid-run, eyes blazing through tears, chest heaving like she couldn’t breathe.“You don’t get to tell me anything!” she snapped. “You brought me here—this far—without telling me anything! What if something happened to her?!”The accusation cut deeper than I expected.“You used me!” she said, and this time her voice cracked open completely. “You manipulated me!”I stopped moving. That word—used. It hit somewhere deeper than I expected.“Ariel—”But she was already gone again, rushing toward the street, throwing her hand out desperately.“Please!” she begged the driver of
ISABELLA’S POV“TURN AROUND.”My fingers trembled as I hit send, the message delivered instantly. My breath caught as I watched him.Adrian slowed—just a fraction—and hope surged, sharp and electric… humiliating. He’s going to turn. Of course he is.My lips parted, ready for that subtle shift, that quiet surrender, the moment he chose me without even realizing it.But then—He didn’t.Adrian didn’t turn, didn’t hesitate, didn’t even pause again. He just kept walking straight to his car, like I didn’t exist.Something inside me snapped—sharp and final.“No…” I whispered. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go.I had him. I felt it earlier—the flicker in his eyes, the loss of control, the moment he almost broke. So why—why does it feel like I’m the one falling apart? My nails dug into my palm as his car door slammed shut. The engine roared to life, headlights cutting through the night, and just like that, he drove away—without me. Without a second glance.“…Follow that car,” I said, my v
ADRIAN’S POV“My name… is Adrian.”The moment the words left my mouth, something in her expression broke.Ariel’s eyes widened with shock. Her lips parted—then stopped, like she was finally about to see me.Her hand lifted, weak and unsteady, pointing at me.“You… you’re—”Her body swayed. Then she collapsed.“Ariel!”I caught her before she could hit the bed, her weight falling against me, fragile in a way that sent a sharp pulse of fear through my chest. “Ariel, wake up.” My voice came out rough, tension cutting through it as I brushed my thumb across her cheek and shook her gently. “Hey… don’t do this.”Nothing.No response. No movement. Then a soft sound—barely there. A breath. And suddenly… she started snoring.I froze.“…You’ve got to be kidding me.”Silence stretched through the room before I exhaled slowly, disbelief slipping into something dangerously close to relief.“She really… fell asleep.”Again.Out of everything that could’ve happened—this?I dragged a hand down my fa
ARIEL’S POV“…please… don’t cage me up again…”The words slipped out before I could stop them—fragile, cracked, barely louder than a breath.I braced myself for his usual arrogance, for the cold weight of control he carried like a weapon. But it never came.Instead, his fingers slid into my hair—slow, careful, almost afraid to hurt me.My breath caught.“…I won’t,” he said.Soft. Steady. That voice—Lucian. And yet… not.I forced my eyes open, but the world swam, his face blurring like a reflection in water. Still, one thing was clear. He looked… different.Sad.“I won’t leave you,” he murmured, his hand still moving gently through my curls, grounding me. “And whoever made you feel like this…”A pause.“…I’ll find them.”My chest tightened painfully. That wasn’t Lucian. And yet—He was here.Close enough that I could feel his warmth, steady and real, like he was anchoring me to something solid. And it felt…Dangerously good.“I thought…” My voice came out slow, heavy. “You’d threaten
