Chapter 12
Mike returned with my clothes and helped me get dressed, it was really unnerving to not be able to do things for myself. I was thankful for my sweet mate, who was handling all of this so well given the circumstances. I wished we could talk about how he was feeling more, but first things first, we needed to see why I was blind. Then, maybe we could talk about the past few days of whirlwind activity and discovery, because I was in a mental mindfuck and I was fairly sure he was too despite his cool demeanor. If he wasn't shook up then we had major problems given what had happened to him, that whole your dad is dead, you and your brother are in prison, your mate is an Alpha of the pack you attacked, oh and also your brother's mate. Now that the chicken poo had been cleaned up, and we had gotten our giggles out we still needed to get down to business. CeCelia had been laughing so much she had been snorting as I described in detail exactly what had happened with the devil of a drumstick. The weeks had flown by, Zach and Mike had sort of settled into a weird rhythm with me. While they each had their own rooms within the packhouse they often spent many nights with me, of course never at the same time. They would alternate or do days in a row; whatever they had worked out between them it was fine with me as I got plenty of time with them both.
