Today had been long and tiring. Mike, Zach and I each agreed we needed some time and space to think, all of us clearly overwhelmed. My parents had mostly stayed silent while we talked, unsure of what we had needed as well. I missed being able to snuggle into Mike's arms, but I also knew I would get zero thinking done if he were anywhere near my bed; and while it would be a welcome distraction it was also one I couldn't afford. Mom had helped me get settled at my place, while dad had taken both Mike and Zach to the guest area. Mentally exhausted I laid down on the bed, stretching myself out like a starfish and fell into a lucid dream.
