TREVOR

{Wednesday, 2 days to the blood moon}

“Goodbye, Trevor Coleman. Thank you for your service to Jericho.”

I kept staring at the note on the door and thinking of how I let Abby down. I shouldn't have let them take her. I should've fought while I could see them. But I didn't, and it haunted me as I stared at the note, I wondered if I would see her again.

“West view!” Jacob exclaimed. “That's where their primary base is. And Ashley mentioned they wanted to move. So, they must be at West view.”

I felt a glimmer of hope that we could rescue her. “West view?” I asked. “It would take us about 14 hours at 70MPH.”

“It doesn’t have to take that long,” he said. “Ashley, Kelvin, and Molly left for West view this morning. I took them on a helicopter and brought it back.”

I tried to digest the information before speaking. So, I withheld all the questions I had to ask regarding the helicopter and said. “We should use the helicopter tomorrow morning to go to West view.”

“Not so fast,” he said.
