FAZER LOGINBillie’s POV
I stare at the bread spread painting the floor for a second before slowly looking back at Trojan. He’s standing in the doorway, his eyes fixed on me, and I can feel the heat crawling up my neck. Of all the things he could've walked in on, it had to be that. Marlon is still sitting at the kitchen bar, trying very hard not to laugh, while Marcus looks like he wants to murder me. I don't know which part is worse. The fact that Trojan heard me say he likes my junk or the fact that I actually said it out loud. Trojan's eyes move from me to Marcus, then to Marlon. His jaw tightens as he folds his arms. “Why are you two here?” Marcus immediately straightens. “I was making lunch.” “I can see that,” Trojan says, his voice flat. “I’m just not sure why you’re doing it here. You can finish it at the pack house.” Marcus glances at Marlon before looking back at him. “Dad—” “The pack house, Marcus.” Trojan’s voice remains calm. “And later we’re gonna have words.” Marcus's mouth closes. He gives me a look that promises this isn't over, then pushes away from the counter. Marlon gets up after him, looking considerably more amused than he should, considering it’s clear his omega’s father doesn’t want him in his space. I glance down at the margarine on the floor, my face still hot. “So, that could've gone better.” Trojan walks farther into the kitchen, but instead of answering, he stops beside me. His hand reaches for mine, and I instinctively let him take it. I notice the blood on his hand, but there’s no cut. “What happened?” His fingers close around mine before he lets go. “The vampire.” I frown, because a werewolf doesn’t heal quite as fast from a vampire wound. He should still have marks from the fangs. And why would a vampire subject himself to the venom? “He bit you?” I ask. “No,” he whispers with an awkward smile. “I cut myself in the interrogation.” He slowly walks around the counter to the sink and starts washing his hand. Then he turns back to look at me. “I’ll make you some lunch. Nora will clean that up.” He points to the floor. I don’t tell him that I don’t know a Nora. “I can just eat what Marcus made.” He shakes his head. “He’s acting too shady for my liking, masking his scent, bringing Marlon to the house when he’s never done it since Marlon rejected you. And he was so fucking jittery just now.” I bite my lower lip to keep from saying anything. I don’t want to unintentionally give him more reason to make him doubt Marcus. He dries his hands, and starts with the sausages. “That woman called you the mother.” “Yes,” I whisper to quickly. “She also said they didn’t expect to meet me so soon. Could the mother thing be referring to the twins, being their mom and all?” “I don’t get it,” he stops beating the eggs and looks at me. “What’s so special about it? That lousy bloodsucker we caught even hinted at your lack of natural scent.” I can’t help but chuckle. Lack of is putting it mildly. “They were waiting for someone who told them to meet there.” He nods absently and continues cooking. I decide to help clear the bar of Marcus’s food. I gently put the dishes in the sink. I’m about to turn back when I bump into him and fall on my ass before he can catch me. I instantly feel a pair of soft hands touch my wrists and start pulling me across the floor. It burns, everything burns. My head feels like my hair is on fire, and my skin feels like it’s detached from my bones and trying to piece everything together. Molly is screaming violently in my head as she tries to heal us. I try to open my eyes to see who is dragging me but the only one that opens doesn’t even see properly. I only make out dark, long hair and striking green eyes. She stops dragging me, and my arms fall to the ground. I can’t groan in pain. “I’m sorry,” the woman whispers, her voice sounding distant even though she’s so close. “You’ll heal, eventually.” Why does it feel like I’m inside a volcano, but I can’t get out and I can’t die either? I close my eye and try to slip away but I can’t, my mind won’t close itself off from Momo’s screaming. She just won’t shut up. ‘Please, Momo, let me go.’ She still doesn’t stop. “No one will remember this.” The woman’s voice returns next to my ear. “Not even you.” “Billie.” Rough hands land on my shoulder and I jump up, hitting the cabinet.“Trojan!” I whisper, my back arching as he continues stroking my clit in hurried circles. We’re in the kitchen, and only the under-cabinet lights are on. The nurse left maybe ten minutes ago after putting the twins to sleep in the nursery.Trojan has my ass on the counter with my shorts and panties hanging on one ankle, and his hand between my legs like he’s been waiting for me all evening. I wasn’t even gone four hours. His other hand is holding my thigh in place, making sure I remain spread out while his fingers work me and apply pressure at the same time. I’m so embarrassingly wet that I can feel it dripping between my ass cheeks.Every time he presses a little harder I have to bite my lip to keep from making noise.“You’re so easy for me,” he murmurs, sounding very pleased with himself.I try to glare at him but my head falls back against the counter when his thumb swipes over my clit again and my whole body jumps. He chuckles quietly and slides tw
My mouth falls open and I blink while she just pours tea like it’s the most normal thing in the world. She knows that I can’t remember the past year, but does she know why?“What’s going on, Messiah?” I ask, putting my face in my hands. “I was beginning to think that maybe I’ve lost my mind.”She laughs and hands me a cup of tea. “I don’t know for sure what happened to you, but I do know that you might be twenty physically, but you’re still that nineteen-year-old girlat heart who used to let people walk all over you.”“How?” I shake my head, putting the tea on the table. “Did I lose my memories of the last year?”“Not exactly,” she says slowly, as if trying to figure out how to tell me something bigger. “I hate riddles,” I mutter with a frown.“Okay.” She shifts in her chair. “I believe that you…” She points at me. “Haven’t lived the past year. I think that nineteen-year-old you, this you, travelled into this future and into twenty-year-old you’s body, after a traumatic experie
“What’s wrong?” Trojan asks with a strange look, but he doesn’t approach me. I’m backed up against the cabinet like a lunatic, breathing hard and sweating like I was just in a fire. I can’t even feel the stove from here, and the aircon is turned on.“I’m fine.” My voice is trembling.Trojan runs a hand through his hair. “You’re sweating at 10 degrees.”“I was just startled, that’s all,” I whisper, moving from the cabinet. What the fuck was that? Was this fire real or not? That flashback felt too real to be fake, or a dream, or fucking stress-induced. Moon Goddess, what’s happening to me? What happened to me? And that creepy lady said that no one would remember, not even me.But why do I remember?Trojan shoves a glass of water in my direction. “Calm down. You’re also shaking like a leaf.”I take it and gulp it down in a single go. I put the glass on the counter and use the back of my hand to wipe my forehead.“Should I call Terry to check you out?” Trojan asks, leaning agai

Trojan’s POVHer head drops to my chest as she falls asleep from all that running and what we just did. I scoop her up in my arms and get out of the shower, drying her off before taking her to bed. The twins are still asleep in the bassinet before I head out to deal with some pack business.Miles already has the vampire that survived strapped up in chains in the cellar. His wrists are chained above his head, forcing his arms up while his ankles are secured to chains bolted into the floor. His legs are spread far enough apart that there is no way in hell he can lift either foot, let alone get enough leverage to shift himself.Blood is running down one side of his face, but he looks more irritated than afraid.Miles is standing a few feet away with Maurice and Andre, both enforcers.“Where's the woman?” I ask, wanting her more than this one because I heard her calling Billie the mother. I need to know what the fuck she meant.“Gone,” Miles answers. “She got through the eastern side
My eyes slowly open and meet Leo’s baby blues as he sucks on my painful breast. I’m lying on my side, and he’s feeding on the left but the right somehow feels more sore than the one getting violated. I wonder if someone warned me about this part of being a mom. And Momo’s quick healing is even useless in this situation. I ignore the nurse sitting in a chair watching Lila playing in the bassinet. I just stare at Leo for a few seconds, too tired to even panic properly. His little hand is resting against my stomach, his eyes blinking as he feeds, completely peaceful while I’m lying here wondering when the hell I learned how to do this. The nurse notices that I’m awake and looks over. “Good afternoon.”“Hi,” I mumble, then look back down at Leo.He keeps sucking like he has no idea I'm having an existential crisis above him. My hand moves over his back without me thinking about it, and he settles even more against me.“Alpha Trojan said you should go eat once you’re awake,” the nu
